Pleased to have had the opportunity to be a 'Lived Experience' panel for part of the interview process for a senior role in Birmingham City Council. Four of our Community Commissioners worked on questions and then lead the interviews. Very positive for our voices to be included.

The end of an amazing year at Birmingham Poverty Truth! We looked back at some of our work, and forward to some of the things we hope to achieve in 2019. We are so grateful for everyone who makes up Birmingham Poverty Truth Commission.

We had a wonderful Conversation Event today with guests Jonathan Tew, Assistant Chief Executive of Birmingham City Council, Suwinder Bains, also from Birmingham City Council, and Clare Payne from @BarrowCadbury Fabulous conversations, challenging and moving.

Thanks to Cllr Sharon Thompson, Birmingham's Cabinet member for Housing along with colleagues from Birmingham City Council, and WM Housing Group for attending a fantastic conversation about how we create a more human Housing system in Birmingham #thinkingoutsidethebox

Very Important, challenging, and moving session today led by Sadiq and Simon @ForwardCarers, sharing many of the challenges and pressures facing carers; the amazing job they do, burdens they face and the hugely significant impact they have on the public purse.

Today, to mark 70 years of the NHS we all shared many life saving & life giving experiences of NHS care we've received. After that we had a very thought provoking conversation about housing and homelessness, and will be going more in-depth in our investigations. Busy times!!!

Such an inspiring day today! We had an amazing conversation with senior leaders in education in Birmingham. Our story tellers were very compelling and did themselves proud. We are excited about the possibilities for change.
