This new Redveil album is a prime example of why you don’t make your yearly lists until the year is OVER. It’s very clearly the height of his career to this point, a noticeable step up from his last studio album Learn 2 Swim. One of my favorite first listens of the whole year. I’m in love with this Soulful, Live and Jazzy instrumentation. The vocals across this album from all parties were incredible. There’s also zero shortage of the rapping that we all know and love from Redveil. So much to love about this album, I can’t spot a single miss on it. So yeah I may need a bit longer to sit with this and really unpack all the lyrics and messaging involved but my verdict right now is that the wait for his 4th album was more than worth it. Go listen.
