They said VJ's game wasn't shooting and we saw how that turned out. Quite a proclamation about a second year rising star. Personally I'm not worried at all about how VJ and Maxey fit, they'll thrive off-ball

@unimplist I agree. I just don’t think Maxey ever tried to claim he was a superstar PG, he played the hand he was dealt and tried to do what the team needed him to do based on the pieces around him

@unimplist You seem to really know how these players think. I won’t pretend to know that, I’ll just take at face value what Maxey has shown me about his work ethic and mentality since he got here

@unimplist Most of the stuff you point to is an example of his competitive fire. He never said he wanted to run the offense, we just didn't have another option for large stretches

@unimplist We tell players to play through shit if they can. Embiid does it every season. You actually think All-NBA was the only reason he did it? We might have won some games without him, but you expected him to sit out and think they're better without him? If he did that I'd be concerned
