Success! The transplant surgery happened yesterday and went well. I’m currently recuperating, and this next 1 week is crucial. Most complications like blood clots or rejection happens during this time, and the nurse checks in on me every hour. I have a number of tubes connected to me at the moment, one through the bladder, and another through the new kidney to remove waste particles. Taking this in stages, and not thinking too much, making sure I follow every instruction to make it to a more stable stage.
