XI JINPING: "Certain countries, through exclusionary blocs and tariff barriers, engage in politicization and weaponization of trade issues. China's door will only open wider. Believing in China is believing in a better tomorrow. Investing in China is investing in the future."

With tariffs, we run into the same unsolvable problem that we have with The Federal Reserve. The Fed doesn't know what interest rates should be. It's all arbitrary. In the same way, the president doesn't know what the price of cars, or lumber, or any other product should be. As with the Fed, arbitrary decisions become political decisions. If you lobby well and the administration sees a political benefit, the tariffs will more than likely reflect that. We're further entrenching cronyism into our already corporatist system. What happens when a Democrat is in office? Will the Democrat arbitrarily pick and choose products and tariff rates too? None of this is necessary. But the necessary is being avoided -- the overwhelming size of government, spending, debt and empire. America can never "be great again" with a sprawling military empire, "foreign aid" and constant wars. But as of today, everyone is still refusing to budge. Watch @RonPaul & @ChrisRossini below:

It’s pretty insane that there is not a single economically positive aspect to any of these tariffs. Just straight up negative for the entire world. Every single one.

We all see it. As a patriotic American independent, I’d prefer an honest conversation about it. If our MAGA countrymen could be honest, they’d tell us that they see danger from within the USA even greater than the (very real) danger from Russia, so they welcome Russian help and accept the price of that help. They see it as similar to accepting French help against British loyalists during the American revolution. MAGA, please start being honest about your concerns. Democrats, please stop the hysterics and really listen. We need common sense, currently absent from both sides. Our country really is in decline… because we’re fighting ourselves. Instead, let’s work together, like Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich did back in the 90s. Sincerely, An American INDEPENDENT. Nothing radical about me.

@unusual_whales Tariffs decrease overall trade flow, depressing the economy for all countries involved. Net importers suffer more than net exporters. USA is a net importer 🤦‍♂️

BREAKING: Rand Paul has said: The stock market is comprised of millions of people who are simultaneously trading. The market indexes are a distillation of sentiment.  When the markets tumble like this in response to tariffs, it pays to listen.

@RandPaul So many smart people see the reality. Tariffs are proven to damage the economy. Every American kid learns this in middle school. Smoot-Hawley tariff bill, anyone? Great Depression? Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

My son, Christian is 20 and he retired from baseball at the age of 4. He's a pastry chef and a baker out in Aspen When I talk about pastries and baking with him, it's like when my dad talked to me about playing catch or hitting His eyes light up, his heart starts beating. If he had a tail, I could see it wagging. He absolutely loves it! And what do you want as a father for your kids? You want them to find something they love, that they can hold on to and pour themselves into. God put all three of my kids in my life to transform me
