It’s pretty funny how quickly we came full circle to the big tent stuff being used to directly justify not taking wildly popular economic positions that would offend elites.
The Tennessee Holler@TheTNHoller

Gov. @GavinNewsom says he disagrees with Mayor @ZohranKMamdani about the need for a wealth tax on billionaires, which he is “adamantly against” - says Dems are a “big tent party” with both views. More on the CA proposal: sacbee.com/news/politics-…

I've really run out of words to describe how blatantly the political media is just ignoring his very obvious health and mental decline. He is deteriorating in front of our eyes, every day and the only people talking about it are accounts on here.

Hegseth may not survive this. I am serious. Part of the issue is plenty of conservatives are ex-military, and probably 95% of the military thinks you don't shoot at people holding onto flotsam in the ocean. That makes the Right Wing BS Machine ineffective here.
Ryan Goodman@rgoodlaw

Wow. "It gives me no pleasure to say what I’m about to say because I worked with Pete Hegseth for seven or eight years at Fox News. This is an act of a war crime .... There’s absolutely no legal basis for it.” - Newsmax's Judge Napolitano

Conservatives are just calling for affirmative action and lower academic standards now. They think that if you submit a trash paper that is lazily argued you should be entitled to full credit on the basis of the fact that you are a conservative. This was stupid when the left did it, and it is stupid now. It's coddling and entitlement.

The essay discourse highlights a deeper problem in American democracy: many people no longer know what science is, how it works, or how to make or recognize a simple logical argument. I used to think people were being willfully blind. Now I think they’re just blind.
