@ACTBrigitte If he's doing such a great job, and Iran's military has been "obliterated" as he claims, why are ships unable to pass through the Strait of Hormuz without being fired on by Iran's military?
Let's be VERY clear about something: if Joe Biden had led a military operation THIS successful in Iran the way President Trump has, the mainstream media would be kissing the ground he walked on.
It doesn't matter how great a job President Trump does, the media will always lie.
@D_Larz86@brandonphillisv@nodw1337@Milajoy California gas has been higher than other states for decades. And guess what? We've had plenty of Republican governors as well. It wasn't any different under them.
Listen here! Only quitters leave California 😂
I’m not complaining, thankfully I can afford it
I just pass on the cost to my customers in the same way every other service business does
Cost about $350 bucks to fill up my truck each time . Hopefully this should be temporary
Facts are facts though - 50% of Californias high gas AND diesel costs are because of California taxes
@Milajoy $5.29 at Costco in San Diego. Some of the big-name stations are gouging people.
But guess what? Gas has been more expensive in California for decades, under both Democrat AND Republican governors.
Our governor is not the problem. Your lies are.
@OriginalMack1@JohnStrandUSA If said Mexican comes to the US and commits a crime here, is he not still subject to OUR laws and can be prosecuted under OUR judicial system? Of course he can. That means he is subject to our jurisdiction.
This is not difficult.
Holy Shit!!!!
You see it!! You actually see it!
Our Constitutional protection only applies to those not subject to any other JURISDICTION!!!
Example- A Mexican commits a crime.. he then flees to America.
The Mexican government can then demand they be returned.
Why? Because he’s still under MEXICO’s jurisdiction.
Fleeing to America doesn’t alleviate justice for the crime!
No, actually, we don’t need to AMEND the Constitution in order to properly interpret it.
We can just read English, in historical context, and act like mature, sensible adults.
If that’s not good enough for Marxist leftists trying to destroy our country, too damn bad.
@JohnStrandUSA Anyone standing on US soil is subject to the jurisdiction thereof. Do you think that if you travel to a foreign country, you're not subject to their laws?
@HenryFrank02 What you fail to realize is that the Democratic party of the 1800s was conservative, not liberal. They were referred to as "Southern Democrats." The overall Democratic ideology changed over the last 150 years, and Dems now are progressive/liberal.
🚨BREAKING: AOC says, "We are a country that has fought and defeated the Confederacy!"
What these idiots don't realize is that the Confederate States of America during the Civil War were all DEMOCRAT STATES.
Slavery was a Democratic Party priority in the 1800's.
Thoughts?👀
@JudyKayArt@QuantumGuard17 Are you saying Trump's appointees are all DEI? Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barrett are all siding with the liberal judges (so far).
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump EVISCERATES birthright citizenship for illegal aliens after the Supreme Court concludes oral arguments
"We are the only Country in the World STUPID enough to allow “Birthright” Citizenship!"
He's right! STRIKE IT DOWN.
@Spencer4npr@WallStreetApes If the father (or mother) is a citizen, then birthright citizenship doesn't even come into play. Children of at least one US citizen parent are already automatically citizens.
@WallStreetApes I actually agree. Birthright citizenship shouldn’t be allowed unless the father is American. If she is here on a 4 year visa and becomes pregnant- the baby should be a citizen, not land on a ✈️ go into labor and boom- citizenship!
Perfect analogy of Birthright Citizenship
“Let's think about this. If a pregnant lady breaks into your home, she squats down and she delivers a baby in your living room. Is that baby now a member of your family? Is that baby entitled to your family fortune? Are you gonna put that baby in your will?
No.
So what the heck are we doing with birthright citizenship?”
@FierceLionPrv28@WallStreetApes Analogy is disingenuous. If a pregnant immigrant gives birth in a hospital, the baby does not become the hospital's responsibility. Or if I invite said immigrant into my house and she gives birth, the baby is still not my responsibility. But the baby IS a US citizen either way.
@WallStreetApes ’ analogy nails it: if someone breaks into your house and gives birth in your living room, that baby doesn’t automatically join your family or get your fortune.
Trump’s birthright citizenship fix ends the loophole that rewards illegal entry while we remove invaders straining resources, crush fraud on taxpayer programs, and secure elections with real ID and paper ballots. That protects families and kids’ futures first. Super-majorities will lock it in.
@WallStreetApes Disingenuous comparison. No, the baby will not be a member of your family. Just like if you have a baby in the hospital, the hospital isn't responsible for raising the baby. But either way, the baby WILL be a US citizen.
@Autobus6988@mrddmia Well, except for the fact that it's not even the complete quote. You guys are cherry picking what you want to fit your narrative. Sounds like the sign of a, as you put it, fucking retard.
@bryce_newall@mrddmia Well, except for the fact that I provided actual quotes from them and a lot of the debates and what they wrote is on record
But yeah....
And you wonder why I call you a fucking retard lol
Congress enacted the birthright citizenship clause to correct the Dred Scott decision.
To give citizenship to freed slaves and their children.
Here are the requirements: born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction.
Meaning total allegiance.
The 14th Amendment did not cover American Indians.
Congress had to pass separate statutes to give them citizenship.
So ask the Court this question.
If it didn't apply to American Indians, how the hell does it apply to illegal aliens?
It doesn't. Full stop.
Thanks for having me, @DanNewsManBall.
@bryce_newall@mrddmia You have no clue at what you read. It excluded foreigners and visitors. It included all other persons not excluded which were the children of former slaves. Those who were naturalized. Married women. Key note women lost their citizenship if they married a foreigner.
@bryce_newall@mrddmia Senator Howard seriously said what he means by the statement. You dont have to guess what it means. Why do leftist pretend so much that they dont understand things. Everything about why the 14th has comments by those who wrote it and debated it. Your meaning is nothing.
@Hanakookie1@mrddmia Criminals are subject to laws just like you and I are. If they don't obey them, they face the consequences.
Senator Howard's opinion doesn't make it law. It's up to the Supreme Court to interpret the law. Neither your interpretation, nor mine, nor Howard's matter. SCOTUS' does.
@bryce_newall@mrddmia Criminals dont obey laws. So theres that. Requirements are not obligations. Senator Howard stated. Subject to the jurisdiction means full POLITICAL jurisdiction. You have allegiance and loyalty to that jurisdiction.
@Hanakookie1@mrddmia Your interpretation doesn't matter. My interpretation doesn't matter. The Supreme Court's interpretation is what matters. If they rule in a way you don't like, you're out of luck. If they rule in a way I don't like, I'm out of luck.
@Autobus6988@mrddmia Calling people "retard" like a 3rd grade bully doesn't exactly make your case very strong.
Also, it's hard to ask the authors of the 14th amendment what they meant when they've been dead for 100 years. Unless you're planning to conduct a seance?
