@HoodieNaz_ Who would you rather have rn that’s available. Finch by no means a perfect coach and deserves some criticism here, but defense has been our biggest issue biggest problem area and Dillingham won’t help with that.

It’s time to talk Chris Finch. Is he the man for the job? Now Finch is the most successful coach in Wolves history and it’s important to remember this but there’s been a lot of issues. 1. Refusal to play young players Finch has repeatedly refused to give any young guys a go. Even when we suffer multiple injuries to the rotation, he will cut the rotation to 7 or 8 to ensure he doesn’t play them. The Wolves trade a future first to move up and get Rob Dillingham. Finch benches Rob after every mistake and he loses his opportunity for multiple weeks. The Wolves traded up to draft Leonard Miller. Miller has still not played a single minute of Wolves basketball outside of garbage time. He is in his 3rd season. Finch benched Minott after every mistake and phases him out of the team. Minott is now STARTING for the Boston Celtics. During Ant’s rookie year, Finch told Gersson Rosas he doesn’t think ‘Ant has it’. This is indisputable evidence that Finch does not believe in development. This does not work for a franchise that has made multiple moves to acquire young players. 2. Inability to run a zone The wolves have had a lengthy issue of not being able to run zone defence. A team full of lengthy wings and the best rim protector should excel at zone yet everytime they switch to it they get torched. Similarly on offence, Finch’s get out of jail free card has been “put kyle anderson/julius randle in” and let them navigate the middle of the zone. This is only mildly effective and is just reliant on player ability. He has no sets to defeat a zone. The wolves are continuously puzzled by zones. 3. Inability to hold a lead The wolves have well noted issues with this since the Memphis series. The excuse then was ‘it’s a young team’. It’s no longer a young team yet we still see so many collapses 4. Tiring players out As mentioned Finch will stick to his 7-8 man rotation no matter how many injuries. He will hook minott, rob and others after one mistake but will insists on playing mike conley 25 minutes even though it’s glaringly obvious he is not having a positive impact at all. By the time we reach the playoffs our players are dead. They have no legs left on their jumpshot. We literally broke the nba record for worst 3P shooting over 2 games. That’s not just a coincidence. A top 3 3P% team does not just do that by chance. Finch ruined them by running them into the ground 5. Forgets defence exists when chasing a game Every time the wolves are down 10-15 pts and we are chasing Rudy gets completely hooked from the game. Finch forgets that half of a comeback is getting stops. Rudy has one of the highest offensive ratings in history but Finch ignores this too. He will run the randle/reid lineup and allow us to get absolutely touched defensively. That makes a comeback impossible 6. Refusal to change gameplans There has been evidence of many games against top players where his initial game plan is failing but he won’t switch. Whether it’s blitzing luka, not double teaming shai or anything else. He will stick to it and then say ‘we gotta do a better job of executing the game plan’ in the post game 7. THE MEDIA Wolves media has a fetish when it comes to defending Finch. They always use the conference finals argument. We have been successful because we have a generational star, a DPOY, the 6MOY, multiple all defensive players and several former all stars. not to mention the young players taken high in the draft on the bench. A competent coach wouldn’t have the above issues with such a talented roster Do you agree?
