They will make us believe it's all over. And when the right time comes, they will leave us all in disbelief. Tighten your seatbelts.

been seeing the binance philippines story unfold today and it feels like one of those classic cycles repeating in slow motion. the facts on the table are straightforward. theyre coming back through blockshoals with sec sandbox access. the owners have ties to romualdez businesses. both binance and those political circles have had past brushes with money laundering questions here. put it all together and it raises the obvious eyebrow - who really ends up owning the rails and who gets to play. what stands out isnt the drama. its how these setups keep shaping what crypto access actually looks like for people grinding a parallel financial life. does this open real doors for everyday builders and users or just create another layer where the same old structures quietly sit on top? the last few years showed us pretty clearly that regulation and backdoor arrangements dont always equal better protection or better outcomes. sometimes they just shift who controls the gate. not jumping to any conclusions here. just noticing the pieces and wondering how this one plays out when the attention moves on. what are you making of the whole binance ph reentry situation?

EXCLUSIVE: Binance ties up with BlockShoals for Philippine market push Binance — the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange — and BlockShoals Technologies said on Tuesday that their collaboration in the Philippines follows more than two years of regulatory engagement with the Securities and Exchange Commission and is designed to bring practices into a compliant local framework. The facts as we know them: 1. @Binance is reentering the Philippines thru Blockshoals, which was granted sandbox access by the @SEC_Philippines . 2. Blockshoals' owners are currently also involved in various Romualdez-owned businesses. 3. Both Binance and Romualdez have been associated with alleged money laundering activities in the past here in the Philippines, as recently as Nov 2025. (See ICI investigation into the flood control funds and how they were exiting the country.) Does it mean Romualdez is actually behind Blockshoals? Not necessarily, but if we put all those facts together ... surely this is something worth looking into more deeply? PS. The Binance website reportedly became accessible again here in the Philippines earlier today (although not on my Converge home connection) ... what a rollercoaster of a day it must have been for the local team!

FIRST ON B | Backdoor comeback? Binance PH reentry under cloud of doubt over Romualdez ties When Binance was effectively banned in the Philippines in 2024, many assumed the world’s largest crypto exchange had lost its shot at the local market. Two years later, it is back — but not under the Binance name alone. READ: bilyonaryo.com/2026/05/26/bac…

We are excited to support the Philippine SEC’s StratBox initiative through our partnership with BlockShoals. Frameworks like StratBox matter because they create space for innovation, dialogue, and stronger safeguards for users — all at the same time. nfts went from everyone screaming “this changes everything” in 2021 to radio silence and “dead” memes by 2023. now in 2026 the culture has shifted hard, and it’s honestly more interesting than the peak hype phase. the loud PFP speculation mostly faded. what stuck around and grew is the quieter stuff; gaming assets with real utility, membership access, event tickets, and ownership that actually serves a purpose beyond flipping for quick profit. active participation is up, especially in areas where the token actually does something instead of just sitting in a wallet looking cool. the psychology of it all is familiar. same cycle we saw in everything from play to earn to degen plays; massive FOMO, then regret, then the survivors who treated it like a real asset class instead of lottery tickets are the ones still around. athletes and creators who bought in during the noise and held through the crash quietly built real collections that still matter. it’s less theater now and more like infrastructure people actually use. not as loud, not as memetic, but probably more durable. makes you wonder which parts of today’s hype waves will look the same in a couple years; the ones built on attention alone or the ones with mechanics that survive when no one’s posting about them. what’s your take on where nft culture actually landed? still holding anything from the old days?
