RCA was the original AI stock. On July 1, 1920, at the explicit request of the United States Navy, four corporations signed a cross-licensing agreement that pooled every significant radio patent in American hands: General Electric (which had absorbed American Marconi at the Navy's direction), Westinghouse Electric, the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, and the United Fruit Company. The last name on the list is the unexpected one. United Fruit had developed a patent on a tropical-band radio system used to coordinate banana shipping fleets between Central America and New Orleans. That patent turned out to cover techniques essential to commercial broadcasting. The underlying technology that made the radio possible — the vacuum-tube amplifier, the continuous-wave transmitter, the superheterodyne receiver — was developed at General Electric, Westinghouse, and AT&T over the previous fifteen years. The entity that would manufacture sets, operate stations, and sell broadcast time was the newly created Radio Corporation of America. GE owned 30 percent. Westinghouse owned 21 percent. AT&T owned 10 percent. United Fruit owned 4 percent. Owen D. Young, vice president of General Electric, was its chairman. James Harbord, a retired Army major general, was its president. On the night of July 2, 1921, Jack Dempsey knocked out the French light-heavyweight champion Georges Carpentier in the fourth round of a heavyweight title fight at Boyle's Thirty Acres, an outdoor arena in Jersey City, New Jersey. The official paid attendance was 80,183 — the largest gate in boxing history to that point. But three hundred thousand people heard the fight live – via the radio. They sat in their homes and listened to a transmission broadcast from a temporary 1.5-kilowatt station operating under the call sign WJY, set up nine days earlier in a shed in Hoboken by RCA’s 30-year-old commercial manager, David Sarnoff. The signal was also carried by wire to amplifier shacks in eight cities, where it was rebroadcast to crowds gathered in armory halls, hotel ballrooms, and theaters from Boston to Pittsburgh. In the 1920s, broadcast infrastructure grew on a trajectory no industry had ever matched. In December 1921, the U.S. Commerce Department recognized 29 licensed broadcasting stations. By September 1922, the count reached 510. By October 5, 1922 — ten months later — there were 546. The hardware to receive the signal kept pace with the growth in stations. American radio set sales went from $60 million in 1922 to $358 million in 1924 to $650 million in 1928. By 1929 the United States manufactured 4.4 million radio receivers — one for every six American households — generating $843 million in factory wholesale revenue, a fourteen-fold expansion in seven years. Vacuum tube production — the core component, the equivalent of the GPU in today's AI build-out —were dominated by RCA's Harrison, New Jersey plant, by Westinghouse's East Pittsburgh works, and by GE's Schenectady operation. Together those three facilities produced more than 80 percent of all licensed vacuum tubes manufactured in the United States during the 1920s, employing approximately 12,000 workers at peak. On September 9, 1926, RCA created the National Broadcasting Company — two networks, 24 affiliate stations linked by AT&T telephone lines, programming syndicated from a single master control room in New York. In 1928, the Columbia Broadcasting System launched in competition with 16 affiliate stations. By 1929, NBC had absorbed approximately 100 affiliates across its Red and Blue networks. Advertising revenue — a category that had not existed in 1921 — reached $40 million in 1929. In January 1929, RCA acquired the Victor Talking Machine Company, the largest manufacturer of phonograph records and home phonographs in the world, for $154 million in stock. The acquisition turned RCA from a radio set manufacturer dependent on Westinghouse and GE production into a vertically integrated entertainment conglomerate that wrote the programs, made the records, broadcast the signal, sold the receiver, and collected royalties on every patent involved at every step. RCA was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on October 1, 1928. Eight years after Dempsey-Carpentier, RCA was the most heavily traded stock in the United States. It generated $182 million in gross income from radio set sales, broadcast advertising, music records, and patent royalties. RCA dividends totaled $5 per share. And, at its high, the stock traded at $114.75, after a 5-for-1 split. The pre-split equivalent was $568. The 1922 starting price had been $1.50. About a month after RCA made its all-time high, on Monday, October 28, the Dow fell 13 percent. On Tuesday, October 29 the Dow fell another 12 percent. By the end of two trading days, the index had lost 23 percent of its value. By November 13, the Dow stood at 198.69, down 48 percent from the September peak. The decline did not stop in November. It continued for thirty-two more months. The Dow reached its trough on July 8, 1932, at 41.22 — down 89.2 percent from the September 3, 1929, peak. RCA traded that day at $2.625, down 98 percent. Nothing had changed about the technology or its incredible value to Americans. By 1940, there were 765 licensed broadcasting stations operating in the United States, reaching 28 million American homes with radio receivers. RCA thrived. David Sarnoff became its third president on January 3, 1930, three months after the crash, and ran the company for the next 41 years. In 2025, Microsoft, Google, Meta, Amazon, Oracle, and Nvidia have constructed a similar arrangement around large language models — pooling capital, sharing customer commitments, cross-investing in OpenAI and Anthropic. The technology is real and incredibly valuable. It will change our lives in ways we cannot yet imagine. But it will, almost certainly, wipe out an entire generation of investors. @RT_com Privet! If you want to ditch the U$ dollar you need to stop pricing things in U$ dollars. Remember: It's like getting a divorce and not giving up your ex's last name. Gold works, or even SDRs for pricing.

'Trump is DESPERATE to end this and declare VICTORY against Iran. Netanyahu is desperate to keep him from doing it.’ —Col. Lawrence Wilkerson on New Order @NewOrder_TV
Going Underground@GUnderground_TV

Israeli-British Historian Prof. Avi Shlaim: ‘The Trump-Netanyahu war on Iran is one of the most UNJUSTIFIED, SENSELESS and FOOLISH wars of the 21st century. There was absolutely no reason to go to war. This is an unlawful war. There was no Security Council resolution that mandated a war on Iran. There was no imminent threat from Iran to either Israel or America. So it was a decision taken by these two leaders to launch an attack on Iran. And the dominant personality here is Netanyahu. He’s the junior partner, but he’s the real architect of this war. He succeeded in dragging America into the war on Iran. And remember that Netanyahu was first elected as prime minister in 1996. For the last 30 years, Netanyahu has been demonising Iran and calling for a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities. But no American president until Trump was stupid enough to fall for it. Now, Trump went along with this plan by Netanyahu, and we have seen the consequences. It’s been a war that has caused immense damage and destruction, inflicted a lot of suffering on civilians, and not just in Iran, but on Lebanon as well. And at the same time, Israel continues the genocide in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank. So what we are seeing is an Israeli success in dragging America into a war which is damaging to America, damaging to America’s Gulf allies, hugely damaging to the international economy, and undermines international law.’ -Prof. Avi Shlaim, Emeritus Professor of International Relations at the University of Oxford Watch the full interview in the quoted post below👇

I think it’s Trump‘s ability to bring people together and lift them up that makes him so special. I had been struggling with the symptoms of TDS, but now I think I understand why so many intelligent people worship every word he says. It’s almost like he’s a modern day Dale Carnegie. I mean… it’s hard to say this isn’t exactly how you would want your children to grow up and act. So I take back everything I said about him, and will spend the next 2 1/2 years dedicating my life to trying to change legislation so he can just be emperor for eternity. Because obviously the two term limit was created before we had leaders this fantastic, and this is simply what the country needs👍

“I doubled the size of it you dumb person,” President Trump told a reporter when asked why the cost for the new White House ballroom has doubled. “You are not a smart person.” “I've doubled the size of it because we obviously need that, and we're right now on budget, under budget and ahead of schedule,” Trump said.

@maneco1964 Hello Mario! How does that work? Hypocrisy sounds too Greek, so the U.S. invented a new synonym; the U.S. politicians call it "Pragmatism." For instance, the U.S. wants to spread democracy except in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE and Jordan.

China understands how easily Trump can be dazzled by spectacle. They roll out choreographed parades, red carpets, and lavish ceremonies because they know he mistakes flattery for diplomacy. He will come back praising Xi as a "great friend" and bragging about how well he was treated, while the actual substance of his visit amounts to absolutely zero.... 😂😂😂

🚨🇮🇳🇷🇺 Sovereignty WINS: Lavrov sends powerful message to India ahead of his visit 👇 🔸Russia guarantees it will fulfil all energy supply agreements to India in full, no matter the unfair competition. 🔸The collective West has launched a full-scale war against any nation that dares to pursue a truly sovereign foreign and domestic policy. 🔸They’re using dirty tactics to stop countries buying cheap Russian oil — forcing them instead to buy expensive American oil and LNG. 🔸India has stood firm: "India has firmly and repeatedly stated that it will determine for itself the quantities in which, and the suppliers from whom, it purchases energy resources." 🔸India, Russia and China have a special mission to help stabilise the Eurasian continent and the wider world. 🔸BRICS is the perfect platform to push for solutions on Iran — and endless global crises are being used to distract from the urgent need to resolve the Palestinian question.
