So I received an Apostolic Blessing from Pope Francis for my ordination. God is good.

Today was a great day Ordination to the permanent Diaconate. Today is my dad’s 15th Anniversary as a Deacon. Now we share an anniversary date.

Votive candles surround the foot of the cross at Mass of Atonement. Individuals came forward at the start of the service & placed lit votives as a sign of unity with all those who suffered abuse. “If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it.” (1 Corinthians 12:26)

After removing his episcopal ring, Bp Knestout removes other symbols of his office as an act of humility during the Mass of Atonement. Bishop then prostrates himself before the cross & altar to signify contrition, reverence, deep anguish for the suffering Christ, grief & sorrow.
