CPL Winter 2001 in Dallas, Texas, is considered the first-ever prestigious international CS event. The prize pool was $150,000 ($265,000 adjusted for inflation), and the tournament was won by Ninja in Pyjamas.

(2/2) New year’s was also my last day in esport, concluding a longer than 20 year career spent at its highest levels. I leave as optimistic for esport as I was in 2001 and hope my contributions over the years have been positive in service of what was and what’s to become of it

@walleDA1337 @gla1ve_csgo @sAwCSGO As a former top level IGL I think that statement is out there my friend. Without devalutaing the work of coaches, you know very well that the results of a team is dependant on the IGL, and those with quality are hard to find

Makes a lot of sense though. Would love to see @gla1ve_csgo back in action.
I for one think Snappi is replaceable in ENCE. They have the winning culture and @sAwCSGO. I think he might be more of an X factor than any of the players. What do you think?

@walleDA1337 This is very sad. As much as it pains me as a Norwegian to say, Sweden has been a staple of CS throughout its history, possibly the most important country. That there is no Swedish team in the top50 is outrageous and (I’m sure) the first time in 23 years :-(

@esportstudion Huuuur kan man dra historien om MIBR utan att nämna @bslfromtheblock även om han är norrman? Första sejour 2003ish och sen en vända till 2007/2008 där man blev 2q (kanske 3a? Minnet sviker) på WESG. Samt vinnare av DigitalLAB i Norge (eller dk? minns dåligt)
