Dear South West States, 1. Carry out joint security operations within the region and also Kwara State, Lagos can provide air ship and other contributor factors to aid the joint security operation. 2. Liaise with ONSA to review Amotekun and its operations to aid the ONSA to approve the deployment of military grade weapons to them, after a review and retraining has been done by the ONSA across all states. 3. Close down all illegal mining with strict adherence to it and must be properly monitored by the state or federal security apparatus. 4. I don't know who said the aircraft is being delayed by an approval, however they gave been series of processes on this aircraft purchase. - The state government approved the money in July 2025. - The governor went to the suppliers to inspect the aircraft in November 2025. - They will process the payment after then, dismantle the aircraft and ship it into the country. Notwithstanding the fact that the process could have been intensified, it would be unfair to say that they have not been proactive enough. They didn't know that the attack will happen before they decide to purchase surveillance aircrafts. Why did the other 5 states in the Sputh-west also not purchase surveillance aircraft? Why did Kwara not purchase? We can complain about processes and the joint coordination efforts on Sputh-west governors. But out of all the present governors in the South-west, only Seyi Makinde has taken regional security seriously. He has his faults and he could have been more proactive on some things, but we should be fair in our criticisms.
