Immigration has not always been a top 3 issue for Latinos. From 2020-2024, we saw immigration drop below the top 5, down to number 10 in the summer of 2022. However, since Donald Trump’s inauguration in January of 2025, immigration has once again risen into the top 3.

For Americans across the country, the economy was the most important issue in 2024 - and this continues to be the case. But now, many Latinos now feel their situation has gotten worse. Not feeling much relief, they are turning away from the president’s very own economic policies.
