Is trillium the only game in town for made-in-USA drone cameras? Kind of crazy if this is in practice, effectively true

Pictured: Orion – 30,000 miles above Earth on the Artemis II mission – separating from the rocket's upper stage. Anduril now has over 400 telescopes around the globe. Advanced space sensing software provides real-time focal plane processing to identify & track objects. Think Sentry Tower software, but for space.

Proud to announce that Phobos, the second @AetheroSpace satellite, was successfully launched to orbit earlier this morning We’re partnered with @BoozAllen on this mission to demonstrate capabilities for adaptive event detection using high-fidelity Earth observation data collected on orbit This will enable satellites to achieve faster, smarter, decision-making on orbit, and is a major step towards building the orbital intelligence layer for defense needs!

Some of our best hires were totally unqualified on paper. They always had the same qualities: entrepreneurial, high agency, smart, mission aligned, and they got shit done. If you’re hiring, especially in early stages, seek out & bet on these people. Don’t over-index on resumes.

Tacking on some more hot takes if you’re in space: 1) SSC Front Door is a total waste of time. Teams meetings are waste of time. Fly out and go meet them in person. 2) Primes are not your friend, and subbing for them will only take you so far. 3) Have a plan to vertically integrate from day one. DoD doesn’t buy components. If you want to be a SMB forever, fine, but if you’re taking venture then I assume you don’t want that. 4) There is no point to doing a Series A for most space companies if you don’t have a clear path to being a prime in your own right. Exits will be impossible and you will never have the fundamentals to justify your valuation. 5) Past performance will always triumph over potential future capabilities, no matter how great the promise is. 6) Unless you’re in telecom, you’re a defense company. Commercial uses for space just aren’t that many yet. Almost all space companies make the majority of their revenue from the federal government. Plan accordingly.
