Our ward Pi(e) Day Celebration was a HIT! We played BINGO, and the 18 winners got to pie the bishopric as their prize. We had ~200 people show up, and everyone stayed for the whole two hours to eat pizza, dessert pie, and play 6 rounds of BINGO. I know I'm biased, but this was one of the funnest ward activities we've ever done!

@Latterdaytruth Currently living in City Center. Love my neighbors. In general, good people here. Nice to get businesses out here. Traffic can be hard, as others have stated. Takes forever to get to the freeway. Some areas seem to use garage for storage, not for cars.

Anyone who lives/has lived in Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Springs... Give me the pros and cons.

@EikonicShadow I loved being a part of the high council. So many wonderful opportunities to learn and grow from others. Best advice I was given was to simply go and do. You’ll be given an assignment. Don’t wait for others to tell you what to do. Seek inspiration, and then fulfill.

I got a new calling today... I was out of town most of Wednesday and yesterday so my Stake President met with me today... You can guess what calling I meet with the Stake President for...

@Making_of_a_Mom Our teens struggled with this. Specifically single dating and dressing standards. Firm believer in teach proper principles and let them govern themselves. Best thing you can do as a parent is help the recognize the Spirit and how to get answers to prayers.

I think I'll start incorporating the fsy pamphlet into homeschool. Any thoughts or comments?

As someone who has been aloud hater of the new FSY pamphlet, I just went to a beautiful Devotional with Brad Wilcox where he bore a strong testimony and explained everything behind the new FSY pamphlet. It really helped me. If interested, I'll share some notes below:

@jmbrim3 Sorry yesterday was such a rough one. If it's any consolation I fully understood where you were coming from with the questions.

@jmbrim3 Recently found some strength in 1 Nephi 1:20 and then seeing it fulfilled time and time again with the events of the Book of Mormon. The Lord truly delivers those who have faith in Him.

Well yesterday was a wild day. Let’s make today a good one! What scripture provides you the most comfort and why?

@Latterdaytruth I try not to, but more than I’d prefer. I have felt impressed to speak once or twice on specific topics, and a few times speakers have backed out last minute or ended early leaving time. So I’ve taken some of those moments as well.

How often does your bishop speak in church in addition to conducting the meeting?

@jmbrim3 Was a pretty surreal experience. No doubt in my mind he’s been called as an Apostle of God. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s had a Brother of Jared like experience.

@jmbrim3 I had asked him what it meant to him to be a special witness of Christ. He said they (the apostles) had experiences that they don’t share, even with each other. But then proceeded to bear a powerful witness of Christ.

This is an "I am grateful for President Eyring" post. He has been in the first presidency for as long as I can remember General Conference's. I am grateful for his steadiness. For his love of Jesus & love for us. He is a spiritual giant who speaks with true compassion.

@Rach_the_Rivetr thought you might like to know that three of your former Sunday School youths have opened their missionary portals. Thank you for loving these youths like your own, and bearing your testimony to them. I’m certain your zeal rubbed off on them.

@jmbrim3 This is actually something I encourage the youth to do with their parents as family activity, specifically those seeking to obtain their own patriarchal blessings. We did this with my kids a few months ago. Was amazing to read my grandparents' blessings.

How many of you are taking advantage of your blessing?

No matter who you are, or what you have done, I know God loves you. I know He answers prayers. He wants to bless you. What do you need a prayer for today? Please share. We will all pray for each other. I don't care if its big or small, we all need the miracle of prayer.

@jmbrim3 3 Nephi is clearly peak as Christ’s appearance is the whole point of the book. But Jacob is the next best book in my opinion. The allegory of the olive tree is so beautifully brilliant.

What is the best book in The Book of Mormon and why is it Ether?

@BlackBlessedLDS You've received plenty of wonderful ideas and counsel. I would recommend prayerfully reading Jacob 5 and D&C 58:27. See where the Lord inspires you to be anxiously engaged. Don't wait for the bishop, EQP, or RSP to give assignments. Just go and do.

Any advice, recommendations, experiences, etc for a new Ward Mission Leader? (Yes, I have read the handbook)

@PocketBree I absolutely love this. I wish more members were willing to serve, and to seek out a calling. I’ve had way too many callings turned down as of late.
