חודש הרמדאן שמסתיים היום היווה שיא במתקפה הישראלית על הזהות והתרבות הפלסטינית. עוד לפני תחילתו של החודש הקדוש למוסלמים, הוציאה ישראל צווי הרחקה ממסגד אל-אקצא למספר אנשי דת מרכזיים, עיתונאים ותושבים. מתחילת השנה נאסרה כניסתם לשטח המסגד של מעל 260 פלסטינים בצווים אלו. במהלך ימי השישי של חודש הרמדאן נחסמו דרכים מרכזיות המובילות לעיר העתיקה ולמסגד אל-אקצא. אלפי שוטרים וחיילים נפרסו באזור והגבילו את כניסת המתפללים. ישראל מנעה גם את הכנסת ארוחות האיפטאר שמציינת את שבירת הצום למתחם אל-אקצא, ואסרה על תליית קישוטי רמדאן מסורתיים בעיר העתיקה. עם תחילת המתקפה הישראלית-אמריקאית על איראן, הרשויות הישראליות אסרו לחלוטין על כניסת מתפללים למסגד אל-אקצא ולכנסיית הקבר. גם הכניסה לעיר העתיקה הוגבלה והותרה לתושבי השכונה בלבד. ישראל הורתה לרוב מוחלט מקרב בעלי החנויות הפלסטינים לסגור את חנויותיהם ופגעה כלכלית במאות משפחות ואלפי אנשים. כבר בשנים 2024 ו-2025 הטילה ישראל הגבלות נרחבות על כניסת מתפללים מישראל וממזרח ירושלים למסגד אל-אקצה. כתוצאה מכך, בשנת 2025 עמד מספר המתפללים המוסלמים בהר על פחות ממחצית ממספרם לפני עשור. המתקפה על התרבות והזהות הפלסטינית אינה מסתכמת בירושלים ומתרחשת בכל השטח שבשליטת ישראל: בגדה המערבית, הצבא פולש באלימות למסגדים ומחלל, ובמקביל מיליציות מתנחלים משחיתות ומציתות מסגדים. כחלק מהג'נוסייד ברצועת עזה, ישראל הרסה בשיטתיות מוסדות דת ותרבות, אתרי מורשת וארכיאולוגיה, ספריות ומוזיאונים פלסטינים. הפגיעה הישראלית באתרי המורשת, במסורת ובשגרת החיים הפלסטינית בירושלים נועדה למוטט עוד מעמודי היסוד שעליהם נשענת הזהות הפלסטינית, וממשיכה את ניסיונה של ישראל להרוס את החברה הפלסטינית.

This Ramadan, which ends today, the Israeli assault on Palestinian identity and culture in Jerusalem reached a new level.​ Even before the month began, Israel issued restraining orders, barring several key religious figures, journalists and residents from al-Aqsa Mosque. Since the start of the year, more than 260 Palestinians have been denied entry to the mosque compound pursuant to such orders.​ On Fridays during the month of Ramadan, Israel blocked major roads leading to the Old City and al-Aqsa Mosque, and thousands of police officers and soldiers deployed to the area restricted the entry of worshippers.​ Israel also prohibited bringing iftar meals, ending the daily fast, into the al-Aqsa compound, and did not allow displaying the traditional Ramadan decorations in the Old City.​ When the Israeli-American attack on Iran began, Israeli authorities banned the entry of worshippers to al-Aqsa Mosque and to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre altogether. Entry to the Old City was also restricted, with only local residents permitted in.​ Israel ordered an overwhelming majority of Palestinian shop owners to shut down, financially hurting hundreds of families and thousands of people.​ Israel imposed severe restrictions on the entry of worshippers from Israel and East Jerusalem to al-Aqsa Mosque in 2024 and 2025 as well, as a result of which, in 2025, the number of Muslim worshippers at the compound was less than half the number a decade earlier.​ The assault on Palestinian culture and identity is not confined to Jerusalem. It takes place throughout the territory under Israeli control: in the West Bank, the military violently raids and desecrates mosques. Meanwhile, settler militias vandalize and set mosques on fire.​ As part of the genocide in the Gaza Strip, Israel has systematically destroyed religious and cultural institutions, heritage and archaeological sites, libraries and museums.​ The Israeli attack on heritage sites, tradition, and the daily fabric of Palestinian life in Jerusalem is meant to knock out yet another pillar sustaining Palestinian identity and to further the Israeli regime’s attempt to destroy Palestinian society.

“I lost my health, I lost my children, I lost my dignity,” says Ikram Nasser, 39, from Rafah. Israel killed her 20-year-old son, ‘Udai, and her life has become a struggle for survival. Ikram’s testimony is part of a new B’Tselem report, “Clinging to What’s Left of Life”, tracing the lives of Palestinian women under genocide in Gaza. Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 12,500 women, including 9,000 mothers. Even after the so-called ceasefire was declared in October 2025, Israel continues to restrict the entry of essential aid into Gaza, forcing women and girls to live in inhumane conditions that rob them of dignity and health: complete lack of privacy in flimsy tents, with a severe shortage of basic hygiene products and a devastated healthcare system. Between 2023 and 2025, Israel killed 1,221 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 263 minors. The vast majority were killed by military fire, with 31 shot by settler militias. Since the beginning of the year, Israel has killed 24 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 18 were shot by Israeli military forces and 6 by settler militias. Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives continue to be treated as entirely expendable.

חיילים הרגו הלילה (ראשון) זוג פלסטינים ושניים מילדיהם הקטנים. סביב השעה 1:30 לפנות בוקר פתחו כוחות צבא שפעלו בכפר טמון בצפון בקעת הירדן בירי של אש כבדה לעבר רכב שנסע בתוך הכפר. ברכב נסעה משפחת בני עודה שהיתה בדרכה חזרה משכם שם עשתה קניותלקראת עיד אל-פיטר שיחול בסוף השבוע הקרוב בתום חודש רמדאן. מהירי נהרגו שני ההורים: עלי ח'אלד סאייל בני עודה, בן 38, ואשתו ועד עות'מאן עקל בני עודה, בת 36, ושני ילדיהם: עות'מאן, בן שש, ומוחמד, בןחמש. לאחר הירי, החיילים הוציאו מהרכב את שני הילדים הנוספים שהיו בו – ח’אלד, בן 11, ומוסטפא בן 8, שנפצעו באורח קל מרסיסים, וחקרו באלימות את ח'אלד. תחילה מנעו הכוחות מאמבולנסים להגיע לזירה, ורקלאחר זמן מה הותר לצוותי רפואה להגיע למקום. החיילים החרימו את רכב המשפחה המנוקב בכדורים. מאז החלה המתקפה הישראלית-אמריקאית על איראן ב-28 בפברואר, הרגה ישראל 13 פלסטינים בגדה המערבית. מתוכם 8 נורו בידי הצבא, בהם שני קטינים, ו-5 נורו בידי מיליציות מתנחלים. האחרון מביניהם היהאמיר מועתסם עודה (28), שנהרג אתמול (שבת) 14 במרץ בעיירה קוסרה שבמחוז שכם, מירי של מיליציית מתנחלים שתקפה את העיירה. מתחילת השנה הרגה ישראל 24 פלסטינים בגדה המערבית מתוכם 18 נורו בידי הצבא ו-6 בידי מיליציות מתנחלים. זהו חלק ממסע טיהור אתני אלים שהואץ בזמן המתקפה באיראן - חייהם של פלסטינים תחת שליטת ישראל מופקרים לחלוטין.

Israel soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian couple and two of their young children last night (15 March). Last night, around 1:30 A.M., Israeli troops operating in the village of Tamun in the northern Jordan Valley opened heavy fire at a vehicle driving inside the village. In the vehicle were members of the Bani ‘Odeh family, who were on their way home from shopping in Nablus for the ‘Eid al-Fitr festivities marking the end of Ramadan later this week. The shots killed ‘Ali Khaled Sayel Bani ‘Odeh, 38, his wife, Wa’d ‘Othman ‘Aqel Bani ‘Odeh, 36, and two of their children: ‘Othman, 6, and Muhammad, 5. After the shooting, soldiers removed from the vehicle two other children, Khaled, 11, and Mustafa, 8, from the vehicle, both lightly injured by shrapnel. The soldiers violently interrogated the elder boy at the scene. Initially, the forces prevented ambulances from reaching the area, and only after some time were medical teams allowed to approach. The troops confiscated the family’s vehicle, which was riddled with bullets. Since the beginning of the Israel-US attack on Iran on 28 February, Israel has killed 13 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 8 were shot by the military, including 2 minors, and 5 were shot by settler militias. The most recent victim prior to this incident was Amir Mu‘tasem ‘Odeh, 28, who was shot and killed yesterday (Saturday, 14 March) in Qusra, Nablus District, by a settler militia that attacked the town. Since the beginning of 2026, Israel has killed 24 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 18 were shot by soldiers and 6 by settler militias. This is part of Israel’s violent campaign of ethnic cleansing, which has intensified during the attack on Iran. Under Israeli rule, the lives of Palestinians are treated as entirely expendable.

בחסות המתקפה הישראלית-אמריקאית על איראן, הטיהור האתני בגדה המערבית מעמיק כאשר מיליציות מתנחלים חמושות, בגיבוי הצבא, פולשות מדי יום ליישובים פלסטינים, תוקפים משפחות בביתם באלות, אבנים וגז מדמיע, ויוריםירי חי. בשבוע האחרון נהרג 6 פלסטינים בגדה המערבית. ביום שני, ה-2 במרץ, הרגה מיליצית מתנחלים חמושה את האחים מוחמד עאזם, בן 51 ופהים עאזם, בן 47 בכפר קריות. ביום שבת 7 במרץ הרג מתנחל חמוש את אמיר מוחמד שנאראן בן 26 בח’ירבת ואדי א־רחים. ביום ראשון 8 במרץ הרגו מתנחלים את פארע ג'וודאת אבו מורה, בן 57 בח'ירבת אבו פלאח. כוחות צבא שהצטרפו לתקיפה הרגו את ת'אאיר חמאייל, בן 30 וירו כמויות מאסיביות של גז מדמיע לתוך הכפר. תושב הכפר מוחמד חסן אבומורה (55), לקה בדום לב ופונה לבית חולים שם נקבע מותו, ככל הנראה עקב שאיפת הגז. ההתקפות חסרות המעצורים של מתנחלים בכל רחבי הגדה המערבית הן עוד מרכיב באלימות הקטלנית של המשטר הישראלי כלפי הפלסטינים. ההתקפות היום-יומיות הללו מתבצעות כחלק מפעולת ישראל לגירוש וטיהור אתני של הפלסטינים.
