Nel caso non abbiate compreso (è molto probabile i media italiani non vere li raccontino) come sono andate veramente le cose. Non c'entrano nulla gli iraniani ammazzati dai regime. Non c'entrano nulla la libertà e la democrazia. Non c'entrano nemmeno petrolio e gas. C'entra solo la furia distruttrice di Israele e del suo governo criminale. E se non avete capito perché ci penseranno gli anni a venire a farvelo c comprendere.

Record di occupazione in Italia nel giugno del 2024. Il governo può gioire? Assolutamente no. Anche perché questo singolo dato si scontra con la rabbia, il rancore, il pessimismo e l'apatia dilaganti nel Paese. E soprattutto non basta per descrivere la realtà lavorativa 1/12

@BuciuniG Quello che vedi è il costo in dollari(uno swap) per assicurarsi dall'insolvenza del debitore(chi emette titoli). Meno paghi, meno è probabile che il tuo debitore fallisca. Non c'è da ricamarci tanto sopra...è un indicatore sintetico dello stato di salute dello stato italiano.

Il rischio default a 5 anni dell'Italia non è mai stato così basso negli ultimi 15 anni. Poi, potete far politica, partorire minchiate di ogni tipo e trovare degli imbecilli che vi danno retta e vi votano perfino. Ma questo è. La credibilità del paese passa per questi numeri.

One telltale sign of amateur writing is thinking that beauty comes from words. This often results in writing that is vacuous while ornamented. But the truth is that writing is not about words. Words serve a purpose, but since the same story can be told in a myriad of ways, and in thousands of languages, writing is about something that transcend the choice of words. Good writing is beautiful, and can include ornamentation, but this should be at the service of the story or the point being made. If it doesn’t help deliver meaning, enhance a point, or evoke a feeling, the ornamentation becomes gratuitous, unnecessary, editable. Like the feathers of a peacock, decoration needs a reason. In writing, this is not attracting a mate but delivering meaning in the form of a story. This point is true for fiction and non-fiction. Take a great work of modern fiction, such as Charlie Kaufman’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The core of the premise, and its unfolding, is what makes that story so intensely touching. You can tell that story to your friend, over beers at a noisy bar without any of the word choices of the movie. And it will still be an intriguing story. Writers understand that what they are working on is a story. What happens, in which order, and why. Words are chisels that we use to break a story into pieces, but the story is the statue we are trying to carve out of the stone. Words can help us add texture, but we have to be careful to not let them get in the way of what is important. In non-fiction this disease expresses itself in what some writers call “academese.” That is writing that instead of saying “figure 2 shows,” would say “we can elucidate from the diagrams juxtaposed in the panels pf the diagram that.” A reader may survive this once or twice, but make it a habit, and you will lose your reader. Because a writer that has not been read will often demand too much from their readers. And a writer that has been read will know, for a fact, that about half of what they write will be misinterpreted or misunderstood. And that is only after putting a considerable effort to streamline their writing. Without this effort the problem is not that of being misunderstood, but that of simply being read. Keep it simple. It is about more than words.

Yesterday I spent 9 hours in the street with the homeless. I didn’t plan to spend my day that way, but that is what happened. This is a heartbreaking story about someone that will never have a voice. Please help give her a voice. I was walking down Peachtree street in Atlanta when someone asks me for a cigarette. Without lifting my eyes from my phone I grab my of cigarettes and extend my arm towards the voice. When I lift my head I see S, a young woman on her early 30s. She is wearing a stained sweatshirt and holding on to a pillow. The only thing I could say at that moment is: do you need some help? She asks me if I can buy her a spiked strawberry drink that contains a special chemical that Joe Biden puts in there for her to help her focus. At first I thought she was kidding. She was not. We walk down Peachtree Street to a QuickTrip where I find the drink she requested and sat down on the floor at a nearby building. She demands I keep my head next to the concrete wall to avoid getting shot. It is a beautiful autumn morning with no danger in sight. She tells me that she is vice president of the United States and thar Joe wants her to be the next president. She tells me that she has to pay attention to everything to make sure the bombs don’t go off and we are all safe. She is serious. I sit patiently next to her. She tells me she is friends with the president of North Korea. She tells me that the daughter of a polish terrorist lives inside here head. She tells me that she was forced to have sex with the Taliban. She tells me that her good friend, the president of Russia is dead and that Saddam is alive. She tells me dozens of incoherent stories about how she is saving the world with her mind. She is not particularly high or drunk at that moment. She is in an advanced state of paranoid schizophrenia. I can see the skin between her shoes and pants has been eaten by ticks and bugs. The white of her left eye is still bright red from a recent beating. Every night the purge comes for her. And, as you will see, that part is real. Eventually we get up and go to “the store,” a cvs where I buy her some clothes, wipes, listerine, and other necessities. I give her some cash and walk slowly across the street to a T-mobile store where I buy her a prepaid phone. We sat on the floor until noon when I return to my hotel for a meeting. Two hours later I am out in the street. S is curled up behind a tree watching music videos on her new cellphone. She is scared. All the cars are aiming at her and want to run her over. This time she asked me for food (she didn’t want any during the morning), so I start looking for a place. As I walk I start looking for services I could call. I find a mobile crisis team focused on mental and behavioral health, and have a long call with a kind person on the other end of the line. She understands, but she tells me that she can only send people to make an assessment. I take her offer, give her my hotel address, and go sit next to S. I wait and wait for the phone call. The mental health crisis team is finally at my hotel. We are one block away. I beg them to come to us, since she won’t come to them, and she’s only trusts me. They don’t give me an inch. I walk slowly in their direction and manage to get her to follow me. But as soon as she sees the people (who are nice and dressed as civilians), she bolts. I try to reason with them and explain them that S cannot simply take a phone call from them. The two older people in the team understand. I see it in their eyes. But the team is led by a person in her 20s that doesn’t. I follow S down the street and find her sitting on the floor next to the Quiktrip. I stabilize her. She tells me that these people wanted to kill me and that she will protect me. I text the address to the mental health workers but they wouldn’t come down three blocks. They tell me they can call an ambulance and I accept.

Nella zona nord della mia città ci sono due grandi magazzini che vendono attrezzi, mobiletti, materiale edile, eccetera. Subito dopo aver comprato casa qui, li frequentavo assiduamente. Ho una casa che richiede una certa manutenzione e c'erano da sistemare tante cose. Poi, da quando siamo entrati in guerra, no non quella a Est, quella della mia famiglia che è iniziata a gennaio del 2018 e persa a febbraio di due anni dopo, non ci ero tornato più. Nei giorni scorsi, in preparazione di un viaggetto con mia figlia, ci sono andato senza pensarci troppo. Male. In quelle corsie, tra arredi per il bagno, scatole, rubinetti, pitture, stucco e cartoni, ho subito un assalto a sorpresa che mi ha fatto vacillare. Mi sono reso conto che erano degli spazi che avevo archiviato secondo un indice che il destino ha cancellato e, oggi, a 3 anni dal giorno della sconfitta, ancora mi espone a questi attacchi a tradimento che tagliano le gambe e lasciano storditi. Con me c'era S, che indossava una maglietta della madre. Mi ha preso per mano e siamo tornati verso la macchina passando per l'uscita senza acquisti. È stata la prima volta che lei mi è sembrata l'adulto e io il bambino perso.

@stanzaselvaggia Questo è disagio mentale, non v’è dubbio. Continuando così sarà giustificato anche appendere a testa in giù i condannati che abbiano anche solo simpatie di destra, e non fermarsi all’ergastolo.

La ministra Roccella è stata contestata per le sue note, reazionarie posizioni in tema di diritti. Idee già espresse più volte. Chi pensa che il dissenso non si esprima in quel modo, non ha ben chiaro un concetto base: il dissenso, laddove esprima un malessere per la propria condizione determinata da una scelta politica, non si esprime dalla propria cameretta. Si porta ovunque possa fare rumore, se necessario. Leggo, da parte dei soliti destroidi camuffati, “dovevano lasciarle esprimere le sue idee”. Gli scioperi impediscono ai superiori di svolgere il loro lavoro, così come le proteste al Salone hanno impedito alla ministra di presentare il suo libro. Se un ministro ha idee retrograde e pericolose, in cui una parte della società non si riconosce, è sacrosanto che attivisti e semplici cittadini portino le proprie istanze all’attenzione pubblica. È una conflittualità necessaria, perché il livello di democrazia di un paese non si misura dallo spazio che si riserva al consenso, ma da quello che si riserva al dissenso. Io ringrazio chi ha protestato ieri: lo ha fatto anche per me.

Mio fratellino era in corridoio, era ricoverato, malattia gravissima. Noi, all’interno, parlavamo col medico. Volevamo sapere come stavano le cose. Ad un certo punto, il medico rispose “si ma perché ci facciamo tutte queste domande? Tanto adesso abbiamo un donatore al 100%, la notizia è di stamattina. Non lo sapete ancora?” Ci guardammo, scendeva già qualche lacrima “come, chi, di dov’è?” Il medico prese il suo tel, guardò le email e disse “Vincenzo Vitale, un fratello” Fu uno dei momenti più felici della mia vita. All’uscita dallo studio, vidi mio fratello, in lontananza che ci guardava, preoccupato. Non potevo gridare, ero in un ospedale ma con i segni gli dissi “tutto a posto, tranquillo, ci siamo, guarirai”. Oggi sta bene, lavora e tutti noi vediamo la vita da una prospettiva diversa. Solo quando la salute viene a mancare, ci rendiamo conto di quanto è unica e importante.
