@buckonbeach I have a ton of hobbies but I physically can't do them anymore. When your walking with a cane and can't grip anything with your hands, It kind of limits what you can do. I have a woodworking shop and a house to finish remodeling but currently can't even open a ziplock bag.

Veteran isolation is brutal and real as hell. This morning I posted about sitting on my porch, sick, alone with my dog, friends completely gone, family living a quarter mile away but never around. No calls. No check-ins. Just silence. I’ve heard the exact same story from way too many combat vets. They come home from war, try to reintegrate, and slowly watch their world shrink: - Friends ghost you because “you’re different now.” - Family stops reaching out when the conversations get heavy. - You stop answering texts so you don’t burden anyone. - You sit in the house for days, fighting your own head, telling yourself you’re supposed to be strong enough to handle it alone. The VA, the churches, the “support” groups, most of them don’t fix the loneliness. They hand you pills or a pat on the back and send you back into the same empty house. So you fight alone. Heal alone. Survive alone. If you’re a veteran reading this and you’re feeling it right now. You’re not weak, you’re not broken, and you’re not the only one. What’s one way isolation has hit you hardest since getting out?

So, I guess I’m finally dying dying. I’ve been “battling” colon cancer for 5 years and I’m now at the end of my road. Treatment is failing and the cancer of it all is starting to rear its ugly head. I’ve been in the hospital for over a week. After this I’ll likely go home to hospice care and start saying my goodbyes. I don’t want to admit that it’s happening. I don’t want it to be true. If I’m honest it’s been true since I got the news in 2021. Been playing fast and loose ever since.

@firecracker0230 Eggs are an excellent source of protein and nutrients, and you could survive just on eggs and water (but the occasional steak, burger, or surplus MRE makes life more fun)! Fruits and veggies are luxuries; people have been trained to eat them, but bad salads kill many every year!

This is a great point below. It’s actually crazy when you stop and think about what these evil people did to J6 defendants. 17 agents with M4 rifles came to my house at 6:00 am to arrest me for non-violent misdemeanors 2.5 years after J6. I’ve never been violent a day in my life, touched nobody on J6, held a Top Secret clearance for 13 years as an FBI agent, and they had surveilled me for 1.5 years in three states including using a helicopter, yet they acted as if I was Al Qaeda. That this DOJ is ignoring what was done to us is a complete disgrace. J6 was one was one of the greatest civil rights violations in US history and this DOJ is scared to touch it.

Laura - It could be one of several different skin rashes, but please try covering the rash with ivermectin 1.87% cream (the horse paste, from the veterinary supply store). Ivermectin cures almost every kind of skin rash, as well as toenail fungus, and can also be used to kill head lice (if your child gets them), and even genital crabs. I take it orally at the same time, for twice the curative effect (but then I take it routinely anyway, as a preventative measure.
