@budgames I can't make it deeper because of the resolution, but I'll narrow it so it looks longer, and I'll also compress the front panel vertically because it's not supposed to be that "squary" :)
@SandyofCthulhu I spent my childhood playing Call of Cthulhu with my brother and friends. It brought me a lot of joy and wonderful memories. I still have my paper copy of the RPG. Thanks for all.
Several years ago, the Texas State Fair in Dallas had an exhibit of stuff invented in Texas. Part of the exhibit was "Historic Texas Video Games", so wifey & I were eager to see. Most of the games were things I'd actually worked on. The armed guard did not believe me.
Similar things have come up before. Folks on Reddit refusing to believe I was Sandy. I even said to one doubter: "Ask me something only Sandy would know."
My daughter in 1995-96 wore a t-shirt to school that read Doom on the front, and "My Dad Wrote It" on the back. Some boys harassed her over it because of course that was impossible. (John Romero's kids got the same t-shirt, of course, but they were younger and so not harassed.)
My wife is inordinately proud of me. We'll be at the grocery checkout and out of nowhere she'll ask the clerk if he's played Doom or heard of Call of Cthulhu. She loves showing me off. I am torn because it's embarrassing but also feel honored.
It's a pretty minor thing BUT if any of you have doubts, all I can say is, "Ask me something only Sandy would know." Or because THAT question is unanswerable, the weasel-worded version of "Ask me something that an imposter would almost certainly not know."
Encounter version 1.4.0 is now available on Itch:
Optimizations, more items visible in the scene, new interactions and alternative ways of solving one of the puzzle that was blocking a few people.

This must be one of the best screenshots I've ever taken. Well, I love it anyhow. Those teeth on the giant monster are brilliant. Awesome pixel art!
But can you name the game?
Clues?
Well, it's probably by the best Spanish games company ever for the Atari ST and ZX Spectrum. And it's tough as old boots. Like all their games!
STuff it, just click the link 👉🏻 ataricrypt.blogspot.com/2018/02/astro-…

@ray_castello It would be a good game on Mega Drive. I thought about port to Atari Jaguar ... But right now I prefer to relax by hacking data. I love the art of Shuihuzhuan Liangshan Yingxiong, it's the next on my list but looks more complex.
@budgames Excellent work. Congratulations. At one time I wanted to port this game to the Mega Drive. It has very beautiful artwork. Another very beautiful game is Shuihuzhuan Liangshan Yingxiong. You probably know it!
