I asked the Minister for Justice for the number of violent and sexual assault cases broken down by the nationality & country of origin of the person charged. The answer: that data does not exist. The CSO does not collect nationality data on suspected offenders at all. We cannot have an honest conversation about crime and public safety in this country if the most basic data isn't even being gathered. I will keep pushing for it.
