@itshelenwhat They made Alicent turn completely 180 degree from S1. Earlier I thought, maybe Helaena being pregnant and safety of her child would be her reason for that. But they made it clear that Alicent was unaware.

"who told alicent's kids rhaenyra would hurt them?" rhaenyra. rhaenyra made that explicitly clear when her son gouged aemond's eye out of his head and her response was "we gotta torture him" in front of all of them. rhaenyra made it plain whose safety she prioritizes and discards

Daemon and Rhaenyra both died on same day, exactly five months apart in 130 AC. Daemon on the 22nd day of the 5th moon and Rhaenyra on the 22nd day of the 10th moon.

@danyzstarlight They removed the strongest aspect of Rhaenyra- a loving mother from the show. The writing is such a dud that they forgot who was responsible for Rhaenyra and her children to leave kings landing in S1.

@Macavit25431185 But why such bad reviews from critics. 64% RT score for this episode. 2nd lowest ever after S2 finale. My main contention of this season is how they cut many important battles. Red fork, Lakeshore, honeywine. Meanwhile eliminating Lannister army or expanded role of rivermen.

@rynaxes But why to choose. I mean sure Rhaenyra would have forgiven her because jace's death was not entirely her fault. Why not tell the truth? If Rhaenyra can be merciful to Alicent, she could have to Rhaena too given she spent most of life on Dragonstone with her.

tbh, i much prefer this over daemon “cheating” on rhaenyra. 🤷🏼♀️ i think it would be even more painful because it’s a battle between choosing your daughter or your wife🤷🏼♀️

E foi por aí que começamos. Sentimos que, na segunda temporada, estávamos contando a história dos filhos de dragão de forma bastante completa e robusta, em termos de todas as diferentes facetas da vida que acompanham a montaria em dragões. E nos pareceu interessante unir um dragão selvagem a uma dama de sangue nobre que, de certa forma, se torna selvagem também, o que é uma história muito interessante para contar e que nos ajudou a manter o foco em onde queríamos levar o relacionamento de Rhaenyra e Daemon. Não nos pareceu que uma história de infidelidade [entre Daemon e Nettles] fosse um caminho adequado para Daemon e Rhaenyra, considerando tudo o que eles já haviam passado até então. @tragic_endings_ A young girl getting her dragon hatached after dance. Last dragon. Young girl marching on kings landing with her dragon on her shoulder plus 10000 knights. Young girl which gave hope after all the doom.

Yeah that would definitely been more interesting to watch than a young girl desperately trying to find her place in the world, struggling with her desire to prove herself to her neglectful father, and the unintended consequences of her actions

@_rand_althor More than Jace i have problem with her abandoning her half brothers. Also how indifferent she is for them. She was supposed to be guardian for those toddlers, now they are travelling alone with unknown men.

I hate to say it, but Rhaena is easily the most frustrating and self-sabotaging character in the show right now. Laena told her she didn’t claim Vhagar until she was 15. Daemon claimed Caraxes in his late teens too. Baela was given Moondancer essentially from birth So when Rhaena acts like she’s under this unbearable family pressure and that everyone sees her as a failure for not having a dragon yet… it rings hollow. No one is actually treating her that way except in her own head She complains that Daemon doesn’t pay attention to her, but the truth is he barely pays attention to Baela either And then she has the nerve to refuse to go to King’s Landing to support or plead with Rhaenyra? Rhaena is spiraling in her own insecurities, and it’s actively destroying her. It’s tragic, but it also makes her hard to root for in these moments.

@InDeepGeek Rhaena plot doesn't make sense. She grew up at Dragonstone unlike her sister Baela. Ubelievable that Rhaenyra will try to harm her. Besides she abandoning her half brothers who is literally toddlers to strangers.
The writing is so off. Even Rhaenyra forget about little ones

@rhaenyrars Correct, they are literally toddlers in the show. Wandering through sea without any guardian because someone who supposed to accompany them instead choose to abandoned them. No wonder if anything happens to viserys, Rhaenyra would be pissed at Rhaena
