Test users, test calls, and a stack of conflicting documentation — it's exhausting. Meanwhile, Pinterest and Tumblr managed to get us connected in just five minutes. The irony is palpable. I've been setting up API access for Meta, Google, and TikTok for my app Atlas UX. I have Claude Code helping me through every step. Even with AI assistance, it's taken days. Now imagine doing this as a new developer. No AI. Just you and the docs. Meta: 31 separate permissions. Each requires an individual API test call to "prove" you need it.
