Do you guys even watch the show? Yes, the writing can be shitty at times, but it has been pretty good this season.
Marinette's wrongdoings were ACKNOWLEDGED. Alya literally held Marinette accountable in Revelator. Alya was the moral compass in that scene.

I didnt read it that way. It makes sense for him to try to reconcile the warring perspectives. How could that abusive man possibly be the man that saved Paris? What could he be missing in his father's story? He wanted the truth, but got a warped version instead.

@aray_mlb like he probably already had such complicated feelings about gabriel but then adding all THIS on top of it…. i wouldnt be surprised if hes just tired of his feelings being so all over the place and just wants the easiest out. the simple hero worship everyone keeps pushing on him

to me, his grief is so complex and convoluted because he’s being fed information about his father that he feels like he has to believe, because everyone else around him basically tries to deny his own reality about his experience with his father because of the “hero outlook”
