Sri Lanka. An impressive adult male Huntsman spider (Heteropoda venatoria) just chilling on our bathroom sink! Although venomous, they're not medically significant for humans so we let it stay to continue being a natural pest controller. #bugsnstuff #researchedinthewild

Sri Lanka. Lizards like this Otocryptis sp. can often be found sleeping at the end of thin branches at night as an anti-predator strategy. They select precarious perches that are too thin and fragile to support larger, nocturnal predators like snakes.
