The YES (Youth Education Through Sports) wrestling clinic at @RocketArena was a massive success, bringing in 130 wrestlers from the Greater Cleveland area through Beat the Streets Cleveland. Pressure without a shot isn’t offense. You wanna incentivize offense stop rewarding people who are trying to wrestle freestyle in folkstyle. I’d call double stalling on someone just walking forward with no shot and someone backing up. There needs to be legitimate attempts toscore

@pestctrlguy I see your points... but will disagree on the stickiness of customers. In Commerical maintenance owners rarely switch

I respect Shawn but he’s dead wrong. -Pest control is recession resistant. Landscaping less so - especially the big projects. -Customers are much stickier. -Operations are so simple (nearly) anyone can do the job and you don’t need management until real scale. Even then, you don’t need a seasoned vet to manage the crew. We just promoted a 23 year old to management with 3 years experience. - Multiples are higher for a reason. There are currently 0 pest control businesses for sale on bizbuysell in CO, UT, NM, KS. There are dozens of landscaping companies for sale in CO alone. - project work is huge is pest control. Termites, wildlife, birds. A friend just landed some 6 figure projects with apartments complexes and has a bid out for over half a million annually. - margins are simply better in pest control. We’ve grown 100% per year for 4 years and will do so again and EBITDA margins have never been below 42.5%. - There are a million upsell opportunities like mosquito, insulation, crawlspace encapsulation, etc. which can be $10k+ each. Commercial landscaping is a fine business! It’s not the same as pest control.
