Notice the curved archways, slightly protruding pilasters, lentils above the first floor, and texture of the brickwork. Small elements like this take what might otherwise be an overly simple building, and make it special. Often imperceptible, they're critically important!

Simple. Elegant. Perfect. The best cities aren't those with the most starchitect designed buildings, monuments, or "silver bullet" projects like casinos or minor league baseball stadiums, but those with the best pieces of urban fabric, like this wonderful new project in Philly.
