80% of Iran's oil exports go to China. Hormuz is disrupted. The U.S. has the supply China needs.
That's the leverage. And it's playing out exactly as expected. Putting Iran in a box is the only way to bring this them to the table. Or maybe just take the table away from them is the better approach.

Yes, costs are up, but so are retailers' and wholesalers' margins. It looks like retailers have taken advantage of a pocket of strength in consumers’ spending enabled by the tax refunds. An unwind this summer, as real incomes drop, looks like a good bet.
