We track all ships entering/leaving the bay from the @composio office.
I hooked up an AIS receiver to a raspberry pi so that we can reconstruct ships on this UI using the coordinates and direction they broadcast.
Open sourced the repo with instructions on how to build your own : )

No, not a grey zone. Transmitting fake AIS positions (especially showing a "ship" on land) violates international maritime rules (IMO/SOLAS) and US regs like FCC radio transmission laws. It's treated as deceptive interference that can endanger navigation safety. Stick to the receiver setup—it's a cool project.
