With great sadness, Mazen Hamada was found dead inside Sednaya Prison. Mazen Hamada had previously been detained for four years, during which he endured severe torture and rape. He was later released and migrated to the Netherlands. I met him three years ago, and he was in a very poor state. Two weeks later, we were shocked to hear that he had returned to Syria, and we do not know what happened after that. Unfortunately, he was found dead. Our heartfelt condolences to his family.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our friend Marian Lovett. Marian was incredibly gentle, considerate & thoughtful. A great advocate of our work. She will be missed by many. Our thoughts, love and support are with Shane, Martha, Malachi, her friends & family.

The individual who executed my family members in May 1992 is buried in this cemetery. A certain Adebayo declared on behalf of @eubih today that he is in fact an innocent civilian, and not a blood-thirsty genocidal maniac who was killed in legitimate military engagement at a later point.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Ailbhe Murphy. As an Artist, researcher and as previous Director of @CreateIreland , Dr. Murphy was a guiding force during for all who knew and worked with her. (1/2)
