An American doctor who treated Ebola patients in Uganda has arrived in the Czech Republic after being evacuated from the region. The move comes as health officials race to contain a growing Ebola outbreak tied to the rare Bundibugyo strain, a variant with no approved vaccine or treatment. Another U.S. doctor infected during the outbreak was flown to Germany for care after developing symptoms while working in Congo. The WHO has already declared the outbreak a global health emergency.

Yes, Ebola is airborne because we don’t have “droplets” without some of them being aerosolized. However, focusing on this may cause ppl to ignore the main mechanism of infection, which is droplets/aerosols landing on skin & mucous membranes. An N95 is NOT ENOUGH PROTECTION.
