I’ve been thinking about @iota ’s communication strategy for Q1 and honestly it’s way more complicated than people realize. They’re trying to talk to like four completely different audiences at once: ➳ Devs who want code commits and technical specs. ➳ Enterprises who care about compliance and reliability. ➳ Governments who move slow and need proof of neutrality ➳ Crypto investors who want token pumps and hype And here’s the problem ➥ these groups consume totally different media and care about totally different things. devs hate hype. investors love hype. governments don’t even read crypto twitter. enterprises want case studies not memes From what I can tell, here’s what would help in Q1: ➽ Weekly dashboard: showing TWIN transaction volumes across countries. concrete metrics everyone can track. seeing consignments go from thousands to hundreds of thousands as countries onboard is proof that can’t be argued with. ➽ Monthly case studies: of real companies using TWIN. like a Kenyan flower exporter saying “this cut our export time from 14 days to 2 days” carries way more weight than any marketing claim IOTA makes themselves ➽ Quarterly validator reports: showing geographic distribution and performance. addresses decentralization concerns while proving countries are actually running infrastructure ➽ Dedicated Salus campaign: that explains trade finance economics accessibly because honestly most people don’t understand the $2.5 trillion financing gap or why tokenization matters ➽ Video interviews: with TradeMark Africa, Tony Blair Institute, AfCFTA people explaining why they chose IOTA. let the partnerships validate you instead of just announcing them ➽ Regular technical blogs: on Starfish development with benchmarks and design decisions. keeps the dev community confident you’re still serious about tech not just business deals But here’s where it gets tricky… governments and enterprises don’t read crypto twitter or check Discord. they read Trade Finance Global, Supply Chain Dive, African Business Magazine. attend professional conferences. trust peer recommendations so @iota needs presence in those traditional channels which is a completely different skillset than crypto marketing. World Economic Forum speaking slots. Bloomberg/FT/Reuters coverage. Industry conference presentations where actual decision-makers are. The balance they have to strike is keeping crypto community engaged while reaching mainstream audiences. focus too much on crypto, you miss the real adoption opportunities. focus too much on mainstream, the technical community feels abandoned and starts saying you’ve lost your way. Honestly not sure if they have the team size to execute across all these channels properly. sophisticated multi-stakeholder comms is expensive and requires specialists in each domain. crypto community management is totally different from governmental relations which is totally different from B2B enterprise marketing. Q1 will show us if they get this. if we see real increase in non-crypto media, trade conference speaking gigs, industry publication case studies; that’s them understanding the actual game. if it’s just more crypto marketing at higher volume, might signal resource constraints or strategic confusion My guess is somewhere in the middle. meaningful improvement but probably not the full transformation needed. which might be fine if the substance… actual @TWINGlobalOrg adoption, Salus launch, technical delivery ➤ is strong enough Am i expecting too much from a crypto project? maybe. but they’re positioning as infrastructure for trillion-dollar markets so the bar is legitimately higher 💸 What do you think ➤ is multi-stakeholder communication actually this hard or am I overthinking it?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Cc: @MegabullishIota

Today, I’m incredibly excited to make my first proposal to Uniswap governance on behalf of @Uniswap alongside @devinawalsh and @nkennethk This proposal turns on protocol fees and aligns incentives across the Uniswap ecosystem Uniswap has been my passion and singular focus for the past 8 years. What started as a small side project is now global financial infrastructure powering thousands of applications with ~$1.8 trillion in annual trading UNI launched in 2020, but for the past 5 years Labs has been unable to meaningfully participate in Uniswap governance, and has been greatly restricted in the ways it can build value for the Uniswap community. That ends today! This restriction was in great part due to a hostile regulatory environment that cost thousands of hours and tens of millions in legal fees. Fortunately, the regulatory environment has shifted This proposal comes from a strong desire to see the Uniswap protocol win as the global decentralized exchange for tokenized value At a high level, the proposal: 1. Turns on protocol fees and uses them to burn UNI 2. Sends @unichain sequencer fees to the UNI burn 3. Burns 100M UNI from the treasury representing the protocol fees that could have been burned if fees were turned on at token launch 4. Introduces Protocol Fee Discount Auctions, a new way to improve LP outcomes and internalize MEV to the protocol 5. Introduces "aggregator hooks” which will turns Uniswap v4 into an onchain aggregator that collects protocol fees on external liquidity sources 6. Focus Labs on driving protocol growth and adoption, including a contractual agreement to only pursue initiatives that align with Uniswap governance interests ^ As part of this, Labs will stop collecting fees on its interface, wallet, and API to supercharge distribution and adoption of the Uniswap protocol 7. Moves Foundation employees to Labs with a shared goal of accelerating protocol growth, under a growth fund from the treasury 8. Move governance-owned Unisocks liquidity to v4 on Unichain and burn the LP position I believe Uniswap protocol can be the primary place tokens are traded. This proposal sets the stage for the next decade of its growth @Uniswap will ship relentlessly over the coming years and supercharge the ecosystem of developers, LPs, and traders building on top I'm so grateful to the community that has made this all possible, and excited for what's next 🦄
