Susan Semedo better known professionally as Pebbles, a fixture of Boston radio for nearly four decades, announced her retirement this morning, a 38‑year run that spanned three stations and multiple eras of the city’s media landscape. Northeastern alum Pebbles began her career at WILD 1090(1988-1995), where she quickly became one of the station’s most recognizable voices. She later moved to JAM’N 94.5(Baltazar&Pebbles -1995-2001, Ramiro & Pebbles 2001-2012), helping define the sound and identity of the station during its formative years. Since 2013, she has been heard in the mornings at HOT 96.9, where her steady presence and on‑air warmth became hallmarks of the Get Up Crew. After 38 years, Pebbles leaves behind a legacy of service, connection, and a voice that helped shape the sound of the city. Boston radio will feel her absence. Her last day is Friday.(5/8)
