something i took away from the @ArunaProject presentation is that there is a high percentage of women who are free from being re-trafficked. #ucendsslavery

a fact I took away from the Anthony Russell conversation was how 86% of women are reported of experiencing violence at least once in their life, but also 62% of women experience IPV (Intimate Partner Violence) and 37% of men perpetrated IPV. #ucendsslavery

A conversation with Restavek Freedom is that the lasting effects of these children are malnutrition, depression, eating disorders, illness, illiteracy, and lack of social skills throughout the practice. #ucendsslavery

Learning about the Restavek Freedom Foundation in class this past week, I was taught there are more than 300,000 child slaves in Haiti who are involved with domestic violence. #ucendsslavery
