@burnsy_tom @ellis_platten Of course, you're welcome to your opinion but how can someone be "an awful manager" and "at the top level"? Regardless of "lucky draws" etc. an awful manager doesn't have Southgate's tournament record. Plenty of "good managers" failed to come close to what he achieved.

Being Southgate in was being on the right side of history.

@burnsy_tom @ellis_platten It felt like time for him to go. That said, "bringing the squad together" (in a way no one had for 20 years prior) is a huge part of International management. He wasn't tactically great but he was FAR from "fucking awful". Give the guy the credit he deserves.
