@S_527Scire @Lorgarwasright No. Get the Astra Militarum if that’s what you want. Even though AM could be a horde army you can go down a more armoured vehicles, artillery, and tanks route with a couple of squads of Cadians instead. It’s up to you, follow the rule of cool.

Vallejo Surface Primer Black, airbrushed. How long do I want before painting layers?

@ManVsMiniatures Oh, black for all of it will still be fine, it’s just painting the flesh tone for the cultists will require a few coats whereas with grey seer primer it would be easier.

@butterinbeans I did black for it all :/ I can’t rattle can prime, too wet and cold.

@EaterOfBrushes Maybe not the best beginner book but I enjoyed ‘The Hollow King’ by John French.

If anyone is new to AoS and want to get into the lore/stories of the mortal realms to me theses books are perfect. As they are very grounded from the human perspective. With of course there is some weird crazy crazy stuff going on as it’s still AoS :)

@butterinbeans @PandaWizardd AoS in the start was wild but in a bad way. Now it’s so much grounded. Stormcast the same at the start was just boring. Now they are so much better If you need lore to get into and you like the mortal side of things give theses a read.

I do not fucking understand why people say Age of Sigmar lore is not cool like….

@PandaWizardd Maybe I need to give the Sigmarines a second chance but I do think the super high fantasy setting is a big problem. It lacks clarity compared to the old FB world. I love the new factions and characters but I struggle with the lore and I think that’s a common trend with AoS

@butterinbeans its a super high fantasy setting. Sigmarines in the beginning suck but nowadays theyre more fleshed out and tbh I like them way more than space marines. I find them to be much more nuanced characters

@HiveFleetHyper Yep, everything; plants, animals, space marines, and humans gets turned into gloop that can be transported and sucked up to the hive fleets. In the final stage they will even strip the planet of its oceans and atmosphere leaving nothing but a barren rock behind.
