Net migration to the UK has fallen by nearly 50%. This has not made and will not make a single bit of positive difference to people’s lives. Because the problem was never immigration - it was 40 years of Thatcherism. So rather than endlessly blame scapegoats, why don’t we cut to the chase and put everything we have into fixing the real structural causes behind soaring bills and rents, stagnant wages, and the fact that public services are on their knees? Otherwise, we’ll keep paving the way for Reform and reach the end of this Parliament having run out of people to blame and with nothing to show for it.

I commend the @ndlea_nigeria and its operatives for the successful dismantling of a major drug syndicate and a multi-million dollar narcotics production network operating within our country. The seizure of illicit drugs and chemicals valued at over $360 million, alongside the arrest of key foreign and local collaborators, sends a clear message that Nigeria will not yield its future to criminal networks and narco traffickers. West Africa is increasingly becoming a major corridor in the global narcotics trade, and this poses a direct threat not just to our security, but to the future of our young people. We must confront this danger with courage, coordination, and consistency. I urge Nigerians to support our law enforcement agencies by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities within their communities. I commend the NDLEA for its professionalism, bravery, and resilience. The fight against illicit drugs is a fight for the soul, safety, and future of our nation. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President

I didn’t vote for Donald Trump because I thought he was flawless. I voted because I thought he was the last off-ramp. The lesser of two evils… with a promise that actually meant something. No new wars. End the old ones. Put America First. That message hit hard. It felt like a reset. But look around now. Conflicts aren’t ending — they’re multiplying. Billions are still pouring overseas. Military support keeps expanding into places most Americans can’t even point to on a map. And back home? People are drowning quietly. Groceries cost more every week. Families are hanging on by a thread. Veterans — the ones who already gave everything — are still sleeping on the streets. Debt is crushing. Stress is everywhere. So I keep coming back to one question: What happened to America First? Because this doesn’t feel like it. This feels like the same machine… just repainted. I didn’t vote for global escalation. I didn’t vote to fund the world while Americans fall behind. I voted for peace abroad and stability at home. And right now? That promise feels further away than ever. This isn’t just disappointment anymore. People are starting to wake up.

I’m Amarachi, 25. I live in Surulere. I pay ₦450k/year for a room in a 3-bedroom flat. I share the kitchen, toilet, and fridge with two other girls. One is 23 and does TikTok dances at 2 AM. The other is 27 and her boyfriend visits five days a week. I’m a product manager earning ₦550,000 monthly. It’s good money at 25. Salary breakdown: Rent ₦37.5k/month + NEPA ₦20k + Food ₦100k + Transport ₦25k + Contribution ₦50k + Mum ₦70k = ₦302.5k. Left with ₦247.5k. I should be able to afford my own place. But a 1-bedroom in Surulere costs ₦1.2M/year (₦100k/month). I have ₦900k saved and am ₦300k short. My friends: Aisha japa’d to Canada. She pays £1,200 for a 1-bed and complains. Tomi got married at 23, lives in Ikeja, and posts “my husband’s house.” Chioma is 26, still with roommates, and just got promoted. My mum calls weekly: “Amarachi, 25 and you’re still sharing a toilet? Your mates are married.” In March, my 23-year-old roommate’s TikTok friend used my pot without washing it. I fought. The other girl said, “If you don’t like it, pack out.” I checked my bank: ₦900k. Rent: ₦1.2M. Peace: ₦0. In May, I moved into a ₦600k/year self-contained apartment in Gbagada, still in Lagos, 25 minutes from Surulere. New breakdown: Rent ₦50k/month + NEPA ₦18k + Food ₦150k + Transport ₦20k + Mum’s upkeep ₦80k = ₦318k. I keep ₦232k/month, save ₦150k monthly, and use the remaining ₦82k for other expenses. The flat is small with no balcony. But my pot is mine. My toilet is mine. No boyfriends visiting. No 2 AM dances. Three months later, I posted a video of myself in the room. Chioma DM’d: “I’m moving out next month. Please send me the agent’s number.” Tomi commented: “My husband’s house is sweet, but this looks like freedom.” Aisha: “I’d trade my £1,200 flat for this.” My mum didn’t mention marriage for two months. She only said, “At least your pot is safe now and you own your toilet.” I still go to work in Surulere, 25 minutes by bus. But I come home to silence. I come home to me. At 25 in Lagos, you don’t need Lekki or a husband to be an adult. You just need a door that only your key opens. Everything else is noise. I didn’t wait until 30 to choose peace. I took it at 25.

In a country where flying from Port Harcourt to Abuja is almost ₦400,000 which is equivalent to almost $300 USD, meanwhile minimum wage is less than $70 with harsh economy and inflation ravaging the country but a woman who earns less than $80 salary or maybe jobless is somehow miraculously traveling by airplane? My brother, indeed our rods work in mysterious ways -Romans 11:33 Our rod is good? all the time! 😅 Will her father be able to afford flight fare? Not even a common tricycle's tyre (keke napep) will he be able to afford, but she travels by plane and her father is in the village, wre'tch-ed, hungry and suffering starvation 💔 Try to enjoy the meal of that girl who is always flying airplane ✈️ now you will understand what indiscov is saying, too much friction leads to wear and tear, you will see how much her pororo has lost it's natural shape and alignment, you will understand that battalion of innocent men have damaged it as fulani herders d'estroys farmers crops in Benue State 💔 Her salary must match her expenses, or her family must be very rich to cover her expenses otherwise don't marry her because you will regret it. Sermons over!

The richest man on Earth dismantled the organization that feeds the poorest children on earth. He also cancelled all of the global Ebola prevention programs. The UN has now declared Ebola outbreak a global health emergency. Elon Musk’s dismantling of USAID has already killed more children than in Gaza and Ukraine combined. He cut lifetimes for millions and the result is a silent massacres. Nor should we forget his complicity in the genocide in Gaza, as well as in the war in Ukraine and the Epstein case. I don’t understand how billionaires think. If I only had one billion dollars, I would rush to fix our world problem. Homeless, hungry, poverty, wars, climate change... etc. They can be heroes and not just billionaires. What a waste.

Arise TV has someone like this and they allow Rufai Oseni to keep embarrassing them and their guests?? I think they are finally doing the right thing because of the show of shame Nigerians were doing in the world bank’s comments section.
