The latest FIT Count season is well underway now. When weather is good, enjoy spending 10 minutes counting the insects on flowers - wherever you can find flowers, and as often as you wish, to help monitor #pollinators. Full details ukpoms.org.uk/fit-counts

We've had some glorious weather so far this spring. This morning, I spotted my first Early worker of the year (Bombus pratorum) on a blueberry bush in the garden. Looking forward to my BeeWalks next week. How many different species of bumblebee have you seen so far this year?

British pollinators are now starting to fly. Great fun to watch, and to try and identify. Many resources are out there, but here's one I've produced that is free and online @N07/collections/72157629222209764/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">flickr.com/photos/6307520…. Great coverage of bees, hoverflies etc. Images & species accounts.
