We LOVE research and a busy library! All day we are developing research questions with juniors and starting a group research paper in HELA 9! We squeezed 4 classes in during one block! Thanks to our teachers for being flexible! @bvlibraries

We are so lucky to have @WeVideo accounts provided by our district! This week HBio and ELA9 are using WeVideo to demonstrate their learning of their content! @bvlibraries

Our librarians have been having writing conferences with US History students for the last two weeks to help them improve their research, show comprehensive understanding of their topic and effectively use their arguments. We’ve really enjoyed the process! @bvlibraries

Happy Monday! US History and Biology are in the library all day today! We are talking annotations, research, and finishing writing papers! It’s a great day to be a jaguar in the library!

ELA 9 is in the library for the next couple of weeks using @WeVideo and green screens to film their Romeo and Juliet scenes! We love seeing their creativity!

We’ve had a great week! ELA 9 has been in getting help with papers, ELA 10 in for genre rotations, biology in today learning how to find a scientific journal in the database!

Thank you to our @BVWPTO for our new @makerbot Sketch 3D printer! It is much faster, quieter and makes way better prints for students projects! It’s already up and running making its first print! #3DPrinting @bvlibraries

Honors Algebra II is having their final gallery walk in the library today showcasing their Rollercoaster project and solving each others equations!

Last week before finals! AP Physics, HELA 10, Spanish, AP World History, computer graphics, AVID, ELA 9, HELA 9, AP Lit, and Honors Algebra are all in the library this week for different projects to finish the year!

Junior ELA classes have been in all week and will be in for the rest of the semester. They are working on a stair stepped research paper and getting individual writing conferences with our librarians each day they are in the library!

ELA 11 is in finishing research on their American Dream essays. After break they start their thesis and introductions. ELA 12 is writing annotated bibliographies, and another class is working on a maker project! @bvlibraries

ELA 12 students are in today doing their ‘person of interest’ and topic selection for their upcoming research paper. Librarians curated resources for students to browse and select a topic after students read their novel. Research begins next week! @bvlibraries #research

AP Literature students have been in this week for their Literary Analysis Research Paper. They are practicing lots of digital literacy skills such as finding peer reviewed articles, using Boolean searching, and limiting to full text. @bvlibraries #digitalliteracy

Lots of books checked out means lots of books coming back in! Thank goodness we have a student aide to help otherwise these would have to wait on a cart to be reshelved! #booksbooksbooks
