I mean it just isn’t though, seen a lot of your editing hustle porn tweets lately on my feed and 80% of them are very questionable including this one I edit, animate, consult, channel manager, plan/structure content, film and make thumbnails and I can confidently say if I calculated the hourly rates of those 7 YouTube related jobs editing is one of the lowest paid and that’s coming from someone who owns percentages of channels I edit for which took 5+ years to even get to that stage so I’m one of the higher paid editors on YouTube and this is still heavily untrue in my case I can make more in a day animating than I make in a month editing on a regular basis, I see what you’re doing bro, you’re running an agency so you’re marketing yourself to young impressionable editors to seek their approvel and to draw them in to work for you for low fees, but I think it might be time to stop misleading people about the reality of what this job and career actually entails It’s a serious commitment that 99% of people can’t hack and especially those that only get into it with money as their intention, if you’re not making content from a place of passion and desire to add something to the world that’ll make people laugh and make their day it’s not a very sustainable job to be in, just keeping it real man, trying to help you but also trying to help the people that will read this and think “oh I can just simply whack a few videos together and get rich quick”
