I completely understand and resonate with that approach. Life really is too short to waste energy on people who aren’t worth it. Trusting your gut and saving your emotional energy is so important, often it’s the best protection for your peace of mind. It’s empowering to realize early on who deserves your attention and who doesn’t. At the same time, staying neutral when it comes to truth or justice isn’t the same, I meant that speaking up matters, even if it takes energy.

"Accepting my own changing habits (that happened without me realizing it)" I understand it well. Because I do that too, and I feel a gloom in my heart. Because we cannot change other people, but we are also too tired or don't want to fight to stop ourselves from feeling that way. It is a choice that must be accepted that when we cannot change anyone (to do what is right and proper according to the principles of the world), we should choose to manage ourselves. In truth, I’m very conscious of that, but I live by the motto "life is short." For certain matters that don't hold much significance in my eyes, I won't bother trying to reach a mutual understanding with the other party. Because with some people, it's just a waste of time. And for the most part, my assessment of the people I've met has turned out to be right. For example, finding out later that someone has a certain type of attitude makes me feel relieved that I didn't do or say the things I wanted to say to that person earlier. It’s such a relief when I realize my gut feeling about someone was right all along, it saves so much emotional energy.

@Honey_beemylove @byakumin It’s true, we can’t control others, and we have no right to. But staying neutral in the face of something harmful and calling it "peace" isn’t right either. Some things need to be called out clearly, and some people need to face the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I’ve been on those drop rides at a theme park in New South Wales a bunch of times. (And in Lotte world too.) I was terrified at first, but once I tried it, I just had to go again! We have got more dangerous weather coming this evening. This time a bigger chance for tornados. And I’m really scared because this time of year is one where we get the worst storms. Last year we almost got hit by a tornado. I’m praying this evening and tonight mellows out before it reaches us. Storm warning weather like this stresses me out so badly every year.
