🚨This is exactly how ICE agents create the very situations they later use to justify murdering citizens. In the video, they box in the vehicle of a U.S. citizen. They approach with guns already drawn, and try to open her car door… while repeatedly ordering her to unlock it, and ignoring anything she says. And notice how they don’t identify themselves. They don’t explain why she’s being detained. They don’t tell her what crime they suspect her of committing. To the person inside the car, it’s just a group of masked, armed men surrounding her vehicle and trying to force their way in. That’s how panic starts. And when people panic, move their car, or try to get away from what they reasonably perceive as a violent threat, ICE agents open fire, and later claim the vehicle was “used as a weapon.” Law enforcement cannot detain people without legal justification. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures, and officers are expected to clearly communicate their authority, and the basis for their actions. They are supposed to de-escalate situations. Instead, they use tactics to create fear and confusion… making it more likely someone will panic, and easier for agents to claim deadly force was necessary, while they violate the person’s constitutional rights. When these tactics become standard practice, accountability becomes nonexistent.

Mississippi has a long and painful history of racial terror, unsolved killings, and families left searching for answers. Remembering that history does not mean every modern case is the same, but it does remind us why communities often call for transparency, thorough investigations, and accountability when questions remain unanswered. That is one reason many people continue to follow the death of Nolan Wells. His family has publicly sought answers, and the case has generated significant public attention. Continuing to discuss the case does not require assuming a particular conclusion, it can also mean supporting the family's search for clarity and encouraging a complete, transparent investigation. History teaches us that unanswered questions can leave wounds that last for generations. Remembering the past is not about living in it; it's about ensuring that every case receives the scrutiny, fairness, and accountability it deserves. Never forget where silence has led before. Keep asking questions. Keep demanding transparency. Keep seeking justice.

Five members of the same Black family are dead after what Illinois State Police have described as a targeted mass shooting in East St. Louis, Illinois. Two additional family members were seriously wounded, and two teenagers, ages 15 and 16, are now in custody as investigators work to determine what led to this devastating act of violence. According to authorities, the shootings unfolded across multiple locations throughout East St. Louis, including a public housing complex, a park, and a residence. Investigators say the attacks were connected and directed at one family, not random acts of violence. The victims have been identified as Patricia A. May, 74; Cherie L. May, 49; Devin D. May, 24; Shania W. Thompson, 25; and Quentin L. Thompson, 21. Two other relatives remain hospitalized with serious injuries. Illinois State Police stopped the suspects' vehicle using a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver before taking both teenagers into custody. Officials have stated that at least one of the suspects has ties to the victims, though investigators have not yet released a motive. Charges are expected as the investigation continues. This tragedy has left an entire community searching for answers. Five lives were taken, multiple generations of one family were impacted, and countless loved ones are now grieving. As investigators continue piecing together what happened, many questions remain about what led to this targeted attack and whether warning signs existed beforehand. A 27-year-old man has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder after prosecutors say he brutally killed his pregnant girlfriend and their unborn child during a domestic violence attack. According to prosecutors, Saleebaan Mohamed Abdirisaaq admitted to fatally stabbing 24-year-old Falus Ali, who was 17 weeks pregnant, inside their home. Court records allege the attack began after an argument, when Abdirisaaq retrieved a kitchen knife from the dishwasher and stabbed Ali 34 times. The injuries proved fatal for both Ali and her unborn child. Authorities say the couple's 3-year-old child was inside the home during the attack. Afterward, Abdirisaaq allegedly called 911 and told the dispatcher, "Someone died," before saying officers should "just come see." When first responders arrived, they found Ali dead inside the residence. Investigators say this tragedy followed a documented history of domestic violence. Court records indicate there had been previous allegations of abuse, threats to kill Ali, and violations of a domestic abuse no-contact order before the fatal stabbing occurred. Abdirisaaq remains in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced later this year. This case is another heartbreaking reminder that domestic violence often escalates over time. Prior reports of abuse, threats, and protective order violations should always be taken seriously, as they can be significant indicators of future lethal violence. Reference: Law&Crime

One question keeps bothering me… If Nolan was supposedly safe and at a party that night, why did Warren contact the Coast Guard at 11:00 PM implying Nolan was in the water? Why was the Coast Guard contacted if Nolan was supposedly safe with a girl or hanging out at a party? Why did the coast guard deny the call came through initially on the night of July 4? Why did the coast guard attempt to list the first call as being received on July 5th only to have to later come back and tell the truth?! Why hasn’t the public seen the full details of that call? Could it be because the “friends” had reported him as going overboard? Nolan’s family deserves clarity. What are we missing? #JusticeForNolan #NolanWells #HornIsland #TrueCrime #Mississippitw

On July 13, 2015, Sandra Bland, a 28-year-old Black woman, was found hanging in her cell at the Waller County Jail in Hempstead, Texas, just three days after a routine traffic stop escalated into a violent arrest. The encounter began after Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Brian Encinia stopped Bland for allegedly failing to signal a lane change. What started as a traffic violation quickly escalated when Bland refused to extinguish her cigarette. Body camera footage captured the trooper threatening to use a Taser and forcibly removing her from her vehicle before arresting her on a charge of assaulting a public servant. Three days later, Bland was found deceased in her jail cell. Authorities ruled her death a suicide by hanging, a conclusion that has been disputed by members of her family and has fueled years of public debate, protests, and calls for greater transparency and accountability. Sandra Bland's death became a defining moment in the national conversation about policing, racial justice, mental health, and the treatment of individuals in custody. Her case also helped inspire the Sandra Bland Act, a Texas law aimed at improving county jail standards, diverting people with mental health needs from jail when appropriate, and enhancing transparency surrounding in-custody deaths. More than a decade later, Sandra Bland's name continues to be remembered, not only because of how she died, but because of the broader conversations her case forced the nation to confront. Many of you have asked about the pool party photo that was previously circulating online in connection with the Nolan Wells case and why it is no longer visible in the Instagram carousel that has been widely shared.Although the pool photo have not been verified as authentic by officials as of this writing, here’s something important to know. According to Instagram, users can edit carousel posts after they've been published by removing or rearranging slides, and they can also edit captions. However, the platform's visible indicators do not necessarily reflect every type of edit made to a carousel. The screenshot shown here is the first photo currently displayed in the carousel after the alleged removal of the pool party image, and there is no visible "Edited" label on the post. Since then, the account in question has also been set to private, making it more difficult for the public to independently compare the carousel's current contents with earlier versions that were shared online. To be clear: This is not proof that any photo was removed or altered. It does, however, illustrate why screenshots and public observations alone cannot answer questions about a post's edit history. If changes were made, the most reliable way to determine that would be through Instagram's platform records or digital forensic analysis—not speculation. In high-profile cases, digital evidence matters. Understanding how social media platforms work is just as important as examining the evidence itself. Source: Instagram Help Center

Nearly three months after 18-year-old Daniel Erving drowned in Lake Ray Hubbard, authorities have arrested 19-year-old Lucas Roper, charging him with tampering with physical evidence in connection with the investigation. According to an arrest affidavit, Daniel, Lucas Roper, and a 17-year-old juvenile jumped from a bridge near Miller Road in Rowlett on April 13, 2026. Investigators say Daniel struggled in the water and drowned. His body was recovered four days later, on April 17, following an extensive search. Police allege that instead of immediately preserving evidence, Roper and the juvenile threw Daniel's clothing into a nearby tree line, discarded his cell phone, and deleted text messages and call records between Daniel and Roper from the day of the incident. Investigators later recovered Daniel's phone and clothing, and forensic analysis reportedly revealed deleted communications. The affidavit also states that Roper admitted deleting messages because he feared getting into trouble. Daniel's family and community advocates have spent months demanding answers, criticizing what they viewed as delays in the investigation and calling for accountability. The investigation remains active, and authorities have indicated that additional charges could still be possible as detectives continue reviewing the evidence. Reference: CBS News Texas
