As Ramadan draws to a close, we were proud to host special assemblies led by Mr Scott and Karem (Y11). They shared valuable insights into Ramadan and Islamic culture, while encouraging reflection on compassion, equality and self-discipline. Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating!

More recent success for Daisy Denmade (Y7)! She competed in Porto, achieving a personal best and helping her team to a 13th-place finish in the world. This past weekend, she won gold at the NW qualifiers and will compete in the British Finals in May. An amazing achievement!

Great fun in last week’s Science Week Form Relay Challenge. Y7 to Y9 teams solved quizzes while a runner raced to check answers. Fantastic teamwork, effort and science knowledge on show. Well done to our winners 7T1, 8V1 and 9V2 and to everyone involved!

Final moments from our Geneva Science Trip. Students enjoyed views of Lake Geneva, explored the Old Town and shared so many great experiences. The trip may be over, but the memories will last a long time.

A fantastic season for Harry and his team in the British Club Table Tennis Leagues. Competing across 8 match days, they held 2nd place throughout and earned silver medals in both Junior Division 3 and Cadet Division 2. Brilliant achievement. Well done, everyone!

What better way to start the day than thinking about our wider community and Byrchall Recognition Values? Yesterday, 7R1 designed Red Noses with Mrs McGuire for Red Nose Day, showing creativity, respect and positive support for others through our SMART Steps.

We are blown away by this incredible piece of work from Lola Crompton (Y8). Every part of this track was created by Lola herself including the music, lyrics and vocals. The creativity, confidence and talent on display are truly impressive. We absolutely love it!

Friendship Day 2026 – what a wonderful day! Last Saturday, we welcomed our new Year 7 students and families for a range of activities across the curriculum. It was lovely to see so many smiles and new friendships forming. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Oscar’s Liverpool St Helens RUFC U12s team were crowned Champions at the Wolverhampton U12s Festival on Saturday. 6 games played. 6 wins. 0 tries conceded. A fantastic team performance. Well done to the whole squad!

What a weekend for Willow (7S3)! She played for the Warrington Girls U12s Rugby Team @warrigirlsrl and received the Top Tackler award. On Sunday she competed at a dance festival, placing in several dances including 1st place in Tap with a new solo. Well done Willow!

Science Week in Miss Dowd’s class! Students built towers using paper and cardboard. Fantastic creativity, teamwork and problem-solving on display. Take a look at what they created. Well done everyone!

Last weekend, our students competed in the UK Space Design Competition National Finals in London. Teams had 24 hours to design a complex space solution and present it to judges. Our students worked tirelessly, showed brilliant teamwork and represented the school superbly.

Geneva Science Trip – Part 3! Students visited Geneva Cube, a brand new real-life gaming experience. Fantastic creativity, teamwork and problem-solving skills were on display, with lots of laughter along the way!

Science Club explored microscope slides Miss Dowd bought at the Plainpalais Flea Market in Geneva! We used Google Translate to identify samples including guinea pig and cat tissue, from salivary glands to kidney and brain sections!

Geneva Science Trip – Part 2! Students took part in a guided tour of the facilities and Science Gateway exhibits at CERN, discovering the world of particle physics and scientific research. A fantastic learning experience. More photos to follow!
