Louisville is armed with a huge budget for players, and the Cards went out and landed two veterans. Pat Kelsey was lacking a shot-blocker and defensive presence up front this past season. He addressed that with Flory, but still a ton of money to pay for a guy who can’t consistently score in the post besides catching lobs.

That was a healthy chunk of UofL’s NIL pool but sadly an amazing job by Pat Kelsey. Now he has something to sell to get even more money. The best frontcourt player in the portal and one of the better guards won’t be wasted, other big-wigs will chip in to fill out the roster. Mark Pope has nothing and couldn’t even keep Chandler. He needs some wins and fast.

One high-major head coach to me: “This has become a joke. We got guys who averaged 3 points a game asking for a million dollars. It’s completely out of control.”

Just listed to the Josh Heird interview and here are my key takeaways: - All but confirmed he & Brohm had a fiery meeting - Football has more resources then they've had before - Still plenty of work to be done regarding Brohm's contract extension - Restoring the 2013 banner isn't a top priority for him right now
