took my first PTO today and
• connected my mac to my battle station
• brought fresh, warm, gourmet donuts to the last two hospitals I worked at and thanked them for being my families; also donated my scrubs to them 🩺
• got my nails done 💅🏼
• got an actual haircut style… which I’ve never done before!! I got bangs and a long wolf cut 🤭
• caught up with my some of my l33tc0d3rz and talked all about my new job!! ✨
been up since 6:30 am so I could seize the entire day, and it was definitely seized 😭 I’m more exhausted than a full day of coding

Yup. I frickin did it. I’m employed!! 🥳 I’ve been dropping some hints.. who can guess where I’m going to be working? 🤔🤭 I am so grateful for @leonnoel and all of the time, thoughtfulness, and passion he puts into the #100Devs community. I was an active member of the second cohort since class one, back in January 2022, and it has completely changed my life. Six figure salary, remote, flexible schedule, unlimited PTO, aallll the yummy benefits 😮💨 and an absolutely remarkable team working on an amazing tool. 🥹 It’s sappy af but that little brown girl with a dream to escape poverty, 25 and a half years later, is finally going to get everything she’s ever wanted. And I’m gonna give it to her.
