Battery update - it’s a hard one to call at the moment. A lot of camera usage on this iPhone 15 Pro Max running latest beta. Chargers being used to maintain battery life. But. Although heavy usage, it’s still coping and not worrying to last the full day IF you - Have a have a portable charger and - Have a heavy day of use

The bigger deal for AirPods are the future models with cameras. Apple sees this as their core AI wearable, especially for those who won’t want to wear glasses.

iOS 26 Beta 8 is expected to drop this week, possibly the final beta before iOS 26 RC rolls out following the new iPhone launch.

@UniverseIce Thinning the TFE and managing OCA at the edges is definitely the real challenge here.

The iPhone can't be designed in curved screen. Don't believe such rumors. Apple has explicitly informed its suppliers that it will not adopt curved screens, At most, it may feature a "visual curve" effect—similar to the edges of an Apple Watch display, where the panel remains flat with the signature softly squared-off borders, while the glass subtly curves downward at the edges. The curvature will be minimal, achieving an edge-to-edge visual experience. The current challenge lies in thinning the TFE (thin-film encapsulation) and optimizing the side OCA (optical clear adhesive) application. If not executed properly, it could create a "magnifying glass" effect when viewed from the side, causing distorted visuals. This is the general direction Apple is pursuing—absolutely no quad-curved screens. A unibody quad-curved glass design might be possible, but only the glass would bend; the display itself would remain entirely flat, with zero curvature.

@markgurman The final decision will say a lot about Apple’s AI direction.

Apple has also held talks with Anthropic, and to some extent OpenAI, for powering Siri. It may still also stick to its own foundation models. A decision likely won’t be made for several weeks.

Wouldn’t this just complete the new iOS 26 introduction of the estimated charging complete time? It feels far too hidden at the moment. Inclusion within widgets would give the final customisation option to end users to display this prominently when desired. #iOS26
