It would have been better if Ottawa had never built an LRT system. To persuade people to take public transit, it must be RELIABLE. Buses were at least reliable. Its unforgiveable corners were cut so @JimWatsonOttawa could check some boxes. LRT has put our city back 25 years.

@grahamctv Always happens in that stretch of path. Never anywhere else. Why can’t the experts supervising the experts who supervise RTM get this stretch of line fixed?

@grahamctv 20 mins is no where frequent enough. I bet not one OC exec or city councilor took the train/bus today, if they are even in the office.

All the crisis comms in the world can’t fix a system that doesn’t work. Imagine being reliant on transit because you work in a job where you don’t have the luxury of work from home and can’t afford to drive. Today was horrendous for you. And who was there for you? #ottnews
