I've always had this suspicion that people who dislike or even openly hate Gon while loving Killua don't actually love either of them. My reasoning is pretty straightforward: if you take Gon out of Killua's life, you also erase almost all of the positive experiences and personal growth that only happened because of Gon. So whenever I hear someone say that Killua would be much better off without Gon, I can't help but feel that they don't actually love Killua, but rather the cool, idealized version of him they've created in their minds.

Honestly, I think it's time for the fandom to stop being so categorical and placing all the blame solely on Gon. Friends and family members often say things to each other during arguments that are far worse than what Gon said, but that doesn't mean every relationship should immediately be thrown away because of it. Not to mention children who were still developing emotionally and psychologically, while being put under extreme stress.

I like hisoka but you really can’t be annoyed that people are more repulsed by him than other characters given how explicitly sexual he has been towards gon. Yeah I would say a lot of hxh villains are worse than him but why are you talking about him like he’s just a guy😭
