@STaranto92 @HBLoomis 3 were killed! I was parked right next to them in the parking lot. They were waiting out the rain holding a pop up tent from blowing up in an empty field. I told them “you guys might want to pack that up”. As I drove out of the parking lot all the EMS started coming in.

@HBLoomis It was. If you believe one version of the story it was only that bad because the fan in question was horsing around (I can't verify that) but that's not the society we live in.

For perspective's sake I went back to the finish of the 2012 Pennsylvania 400 (why NASCAR has the rain delay policy it has now) NASCAR raced right to the edge of the storm, conditions deteriorated quickly which led to not a lot of time to clear the grandstands/get people out.

Correct. But I was under impression once a lap is scored the car may NOT re join the field.

Contact between @dannydietrich and Freddie Rahmer in Turn 3, with Rahmer flipping. They were fighting for the spot throughout the race with some chopping going on. Rahmer showed his displeasure as Dietrich rolled down pit road. Still some jawing going on and a crowd gathered.
