The video that started it all… Clark G. the Dog, the famous “talking dog.” 🐾 Clark passed away on June 5, 2024, but he will always be the voice that made us smile and the legend who started it all. 💙 R.I.P. Clark… you will always be remembered and forever loved. 💙🐾

He may look like woolie bear today but I can assure you, he is honey badger. Also, I think his ears grew again. Whatever his weight gain is tomorrow, it's mostly ears.

Im so glad this week is at its end. Having to return to that hospital, to leave Grim behind there was not easy. To stand in the lobby and look towards certain exam rooms, each with their own memories of my best friend. The hallway where I last saw him, looking back at me from the gurney as they wheeled him away. The same hallway where I ran after him, held his head, his soft ears between my thumbs and forefingers and kissed his beautiful face for the last time while he still lived. I released and they continued away. His eyes were fixed on me, looking back as they took him for yet another transfusion. I didn't know. I wish I would have held him longer. I wish I were there the moment he passed instead of 50 feet away in a parking lot. We should have been there. I wish I could have taken his pain from him before his body simply said "enough". He was fighting. We fought along side him signing off on anything we could do to help him, his vitals had been improving. We didn't know it was hopeless. I wish we knew. He could have had a death far more dignified. We could have given him that. We could have taken him home. Maybe he would have passed on the way, but he would have been going home. 3 days after his passing the biopsy results came back "hemangiosarcoma", it said. What his body was going through couldn't be fixed. All of the plasma transfusions, blood transfusions, medication or money in the world couldn't fix it. I wish we had known. His body gave us subtle hints as far back as 2 years before that night he collapsed and needed emergency surgery to remove his spleen that something wasn't quite right. We did tests quarterly, we did 3 ultrasounds in the last 10 months prior to all of it and there were not any concerns. That day, his last healthy day, he was just Garm. It was a good day. That week between his surgery and the night he died he did so well. That last day with us we both commented how "he was so much more himself today!" He was playing with his beloved "B" laying in the snow that he enjoyed so much. His eyes were bright, he was smiling. That night we awoke to him getting sick. It could have been all of the meds. He looked fine otherwise, pink gums, bright eyes. By morning, collapse again. He left the cabin with us early that morning and we would return the next day without him. His whole life he was cared for as best as any dog could be cared for. He was HAPPY. None of it mattered. Or maybe it did. Maybe it gave us more time that we wouldn't have had. Who knows. Bringing Grim home the other day. Same incision. Same care. Same meds. Same bed. Couldnt help but to think about him, to think about that week between his surgery and his passing. I hope he had a good week. Maybe if we had known we could have made it better. I hope we loved him enough. I hope he knew he was loved. That morning, we got the call out in the van where we sat with Grim. It was the morning shift change, we couldn't be in the ICU. I answered my phone "A blood clot has gone to his brain", they said "come and say goodbye". We left Grim behind and were put in one of those exam rooms. Soon after, they brought him in. His heart still barely beating but the life gone from his beautiful brown eyes. The vet injected his IV to help him pass as we held him and cried. We stayed with him for at least an hour. I held him. Spoke to him. Touched every part of him trying to save him to my memory. His ears and those beautiful tufts of fur, so soft. His big feet, his rough pads that carried that wonderful boy through exactly 9 years and 6 months of life. His full coat, his beautiful flouff, I ran my hands over it and over it and over it again. My boy was gone. I didn't let Grim see him, my heart couldn't take it. I regret that. I stood there in that hospital the other day and looked down the hall at the doors where I last saw my best friend, covered in a blanket, being wheeled away on that gurney forever. I am haunted by that day.

Because there are some folks who got EVERY QUESTION on the reading comprehension part of the state proficiency tests wrong: - The threat was for Erika, and Erika alone. Not JD. We also don’t know whether the threat was to her house, vehicle, or route to (or from) the event. Even though Secret Service would have cleared the event building, it doesn’t automatically mean Erika was safe. - Candace, herself, brought up the CEO spot unprovoked. It had nothing to do with the event. Candace, in the past, has repeatedly brought up the CEO spot. As a *former* investigator, patterns are everything. - I don’t debate with the Candacesexuals. If you’re condoning the abuse of a widowed mother of two young children, I can’t see you discussing anything in good faith. - Candace’s rants stopped being about Charlie’s killer a long time ago. She just wants to hurt Erika and it’s disgustingly apparent at this point. - Y’all need to work on y’all people skills. No hugs. Zeek

One of the best things about German Shepherds… You don’t really “walk” them. You just move… and they decide you’re worth keeping in sight. No leash needed, no panic, no sprinting off like they just saw freedom for the first time. They stay close like it’s their job. Not because they have to…..because they choose to. How many things in life actually stick with you like that?
A Great American! 🇺🇸 & 🔥@FlagAndFire

This guy’s “guard” dog is just chilling in the backyard. The German Shepherd is laying on the grass right next to his stuffed hot dog toy looking completely relaxed. Another dog is hanging out by the shed in the background. Zero guard vibes going on. When your guard dog picks relaxation over protection how funny is this?

Mornin troops. During my absence, it has come to my attention that I have more friends on here than I realised. I had to step away from socials for a while, needed to stop pretending I was alright when I clearly wasn’t. Since 1996, after returning from Bosnia, I have been battling PTSD, compounded by the last 589 days by the absence of my kids. So I had to step away from negativity in its entirety and try and reset and find a better place to try and cope with the constant battles I’m fighting in my head. I felt it was unfair to keep you incredible people who took time to message of your concern. So I’m immensely grateful, humbled and honoured to be followed by such incredible ladies and gents I have following me out there. I will try and bounce back, I’ve run out of LEGO to build, (Amazing for mental health) so I’ll try and dig out some jokes and try and get things back to some sort of normality for you all. Thank you again, and thanks for sticking with me. B. 💂🏻‍♀️👋🏻🇬🇧🍻x.

He was brought in by his owners, scared and trembling in the kennel. As the shelters intake team always does, they explained the reality—that he is at high risk for euthanasia due to overcrowding. The wife’s response? “Do what you have to do.” The husband quietly asked staff to please help him. It’s heartbreaking, and honestly, it’s hard not to feel angry for Chance. Chance is a stunning, neutered 1.5-year-old German Shepherd who should be enjoying life—not sitting in a shelter after being abandoned. When I first met him, he was curled up in the back of his kennel, completely shut down and terrified. He just needed time. And that’s the thing about dogs—they live in the moment. I came back the very next day, and he had adjusted. Chance walked out of his kennel and ignored all the barking dogs, showing us the beautiful dog he truly is. He is a big, magnificent boy and allowed full handling with ease. We introduced him to Heide, and he did wonderfully—calm, appropriate greetings with polite tail sniffs. When Heide turned toward him face-to-face, Chance responded with a playful bow, showing great social skills and a sweet, playful nature. He passed his evaluation and absolutely deserves a chance at life. Right now, Chance is in the same shelter as Rocky, No Name, and Thor—and they are at CODE RED capacity. FULL. Time is critical. If you can open your home to foster Chance and give him the second chance he deserves, please email me ASAP. Plea sent out at 7:51am this morning 🙏 This is like his fifth plea sent out and he has run out of time. He’s now at risk of euthanasia and urgently needs a foster for VGSR, or an adopter from the Roanoke, VA shelter. 💔 facebook.com/share/1DGJdvS6…

The sun tempted us out with a brief appearance through the window. 🌞 It was misleading. It was a trap. By the time we stepped out, it was stormy, grey, and windy enough to have the dogs’ ears flapping like a set of wind gauges.

Never ages❣️ Our dogs, family members and beloved friends often don’t get the time they deserve in our busy lives. But when you are walking them, please give them 100% • Don’t chat on your phone • Don’t listen to audiobooks/music • Don’t think about problems • Don’t multitask Just be with your pup. He deserves 1-2 hours of pure YOU every day. And for this time, you will be as happy as your friend. It’s healing time 🐾♥️

Another pre flight site check today and found both a female and male Adder. The male has the black zig zag marking and the female brown. She also has red eyes. The adder is only one of three native snakes to the U.K (the others being the Grass Snake and the Smooth Snake) and the only one that is venomous. The common adder is part of the Viper (Viperidae) family. 🐍 #Snake #Dorset #Nature #AlexandersJourney
